This will entail communicating with a variety of stakeholders, including neighborhood associations, schools, businesses, and community organizations. The incumbent will also assist with implementation of the market through procurement and inventory management, physical setup of the market, customer engagement regarding produce and staple goods, including providing recipes and nutrition education information. In addition, this position will support market breakdown and provide kitchen support, ensuring that all food safety protocols are followed in the commercial kitchen. Duties & Responsibilities Assist with the implementation of the PLAZA Mobile Market program for Pima County Cooperative Extension's The Garden Kitchen (TGK) program. Assist with procurement and inventory management and the physical setup of the market. Engage customers by providing information about produce and staple goods, sharing recipes and nutrition education. Support market breakdown and provide kitchen support, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed in the commercial kitchen. Assist with outreach and marketing, and a variety of administrative tasks. Develop strategic outreach and marketing plan, including creating digital materials for social media, designing flyers and informational print-outs, and connecting with potential customers and supporters. Assist with grant writing or donor engagement activities. Record informational entries into data collection systems, time logs, and mileage logs. Additional Responsibilities: Assist with gardening activities in The Garden Kitchen community garden. Clean and maintain the commercial kitchen facilities. Support additional The Garden Kitchen programs and activities as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Able to develop strategic outreach and marketing plans to include a variety of stakeholders. Knowledge of farmers markets. Able to communicate effectively with a variety of groups and individuals including farmers. Familiarity with data collection systems. Knowledge of commercial kitchen standards and basics cooking techniques with experience implementing food-related programming. Familiarity of trauma informed program delivery. Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team. Ability to take initiative in monitoring, maintaining, and record program data, materials, and program needs. Ability to travel and transport materials between sites. Ability to share recipes and provide nutrition information related to fruits and vegetables. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
