Are you looking to join a growing, values-led organisation with a clear social purpose?

At Lifestone Homes, we’re proud to be the largest housing group in the region, managing over 30,000 homes across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire.

Everything we do is about delivering excellent services, high quality homes, neighbourhoods we can be proud of and maximising number of new affordable homes we build. Through our merger we’ve brought together shared values, skills and ambition, so we can build more affordable homes and make an even bigger difference in the communities we serve

If you're ready to grow your career in a supportive, inclusive environment while helping to shape stronger communities, we’d love to welcome you on our journey. Together, we’re building a better future.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Community Safety Officer to join our Community Safety team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a key role within our housing service, managing a varied caseload of anti‑social behaviour (ASB) cases, including some of the most complex and high‑risk incidents.

You will work closely with residents, colleagues and external agencies to investigate reports, resolve issues and take enforcement action where necessary. This role requires a confident and proactive individual who can balance strong customer service with effective case management and legal action when required.

Working across our neighbourhoods and communities, you will help ensure residents feel safe in their homes while supporting positive outcomes for individuals and communities.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of anti‑social behaviour cases, including complex and high‑risk incidents

  • Build strong relationships with residents, colleagues and external partners to support positive community outcomes

  • Utilise appropriate interventions, enforcement tools and legal remedies to resolve cases effectively

  • Prepare legal notices, witness statements and case documentation

  • Represent Lifestone Homes at court and tribunal proceedings when required

  • Deliver a customer‑focused service in line with organisational policies and procedures

  • Work collaboratively with Housing, Income, Customer and Neighbourhood teams to ensure joined‑up case management

  • Attend multi‑agency meetings and represent Lifestone Homes with local authorities, police and other partner organisations

  • Maintain accurate records and case notes to support investigation and enforcement activity

Our expectations

  • Effective management of anti‑social behaviour cases from investigation through to resolution

  • High levels of customer satisfaction and timely case handling

  • Accurate preparation of legal documentation and evidence files

  • Positive partnership working with colleagues and external agencies

  • Appropriate use of enforcement tools and interventions

  • Strong contribution towards safer neighbourhoods and sustainable tenancies

  • Compliance with policies, procedures and legal requirements

About you

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritise a complex caseload

  • Confidence dealing with challenging behaviour and difficult situations

  • Experience preparing reports, legal notices, witness statements and case documentation

  • Strong understanding of landlord and tenant law and its application to tenancy management and ASB cases

  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

  • Ability to communicate clearly with residents, colleagues and partner agencies

  • Experience maintaining accurate case records and evidence

Desired

  • Experience working within the housing sector, particularly in anti‑social behaviour management

  • Experience attending and contributing to multi‑agency meetings

  • Experience representing an organisation at court or tribunal proceedings

  • Practical, solution‑focused approach to resolving anti‑social behaviour issues

  • Strong commitment to delivering positive outcomes for residents and communities

Where could this role take you?

Whilst this role is offered as a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, it could be the start of something bigger.

Many of our colleagues joined the organisation on fixed‑term contracts and have gone on to build successful long‑term careers across housing, customer services, property and corporate functions. As a growing organisation, we are continually creating opportunities for talented people to develop and progress.

Whilst we cannot guarantee an extension or a permanent opportunity at the end of the contract, you will gain valuable experience managing complex anti‑social behaviour cases, working with legal processes, attending court, collaborating with partner agencies and building expertise within a large housing organisation.

Whether your next step is with us or elsewhere, this role will provide an excellent opportunity to strengthen your skills, broaden your experience and make a real difference within our communities.
