Since our founding in 1961, WWF has been committed to protecting nature and its resources. We understand that nature is our planet’s greatest asset, intrinsically linked to human survival — and that it needs our help. Our work to reverse nature loss and conserve biodiversity has never been more urgent. As the world’s leading conservation organization—with offices on six continents and in nearly 100 countries—our global reach includes the world’s most critical forests, river systems, wetlands, savannas, and ocean habitats. By conserving these places and supporting sustainable livelihoods within them, we can keep the Earth in balance for people, wildlife, and the planet. Major Function The Compensation Analyst supports WWF’s compensation programs to ensure competitive, equitable, and compliant pay practices. This role performs compensation analysis, market benchmarking, survey participation, reporting, and coordination of annual compensation processes. The role partners with the Director of Total Rewards (TR Director) to analyze market and internal pay data and execute compensation programs, including salary structures, annual merit increases, promotions, equity reviews, and rewards and recognition programs. It serves as a key point of contact for compensation inquiries and collaborates with Talent Acquisition, P&C Business Partners, People Technology, compensation vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and consistent compensation administration. Key Responsibilities Responds to compensation-related inquiries from employees and managers, including salary offers, promotions, equity reviews, and rewards and recognition questions, escalating complex matters as appropriate. Completes and submits compensation surveys under the direction of TR Director, ensuring accurate and timely market data reporting. Compiles and validates internal and external compensation data; maintains key compensation materials (e.g., salary structures, job pricing summaries, and market comparison reports); and supports TR Director–led compensation projects, including market analysis, pay equity reviews, and program enhancements, by providing insights and recommendations. Executes annual compensation processes, including merit increases, promotions, and incentive or recognition programs, in coordination with People Technology and under the direction of the TR Director and broader P&C leadership. Partners with the Talent Acquisition team to provide compensation data and guidance for new hire offers and internal transfers, ensuring alignment with approved salary structures and TR Director-established guidelines. Partners with the People Technology team to ensure accurate processing of compensation transactions in Workday, including data validation, audits, corrections, and maintenance of accurate, consistent, and confidential compensation data across P&C systems. Prepares recurring and ad hoc compensation reports, dashboards, and analyses for the TR Director, P&C leadership, and other stakeholders, and partners with People Technology and IT to identify reporting needs and enhance compensation reporting and analytics tools. Administers rewards and recognition programs from a compensation perspective, including service and other awards and related activities with P&C Business Partners, People Technology, and Communications teams, in alignment with established rewards and recognition processes. Ensures adherence to internal compensation policies and supports compliance with applicable regulations and best practices. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration. CCP preferred. A minimum of 4 years of professional experience, including 2 years of experience in HRIS data management, is required. Experience with Workday is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding customer service skills. Integrity and the ability to work with confidential information with discretion. Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills. Excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, willingness to take initiative, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of MS Suite with focus on Excel. Committed to building and strengthening a culture of inclusion within and across teams. Identifies and aligns with WWF’s core values: Courage, Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration: Demonstrates courage by speaking up even when it is difficult or unpopular. Builds trust with colleagues by acting with integrity, owning mistakes, and holding oneself accountable. Welcomes other points of view and ideas, recognizing and embracing different and contrary perspectives with kindness, curiosity, and encouragement. Makes conscious efforts to promote cooperative practices, behaviors, and ways of working across many groups and individuals. Please note: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Relocation is not provided for this position. World Wildlife Fund (WWF) promotes equal employment opportunities for all qualified individuals regardless of age, race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law.
