Job Description:
We are looking for a compensation professional who is equally analytical and strategic. You will own key compensation programs and serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders, building scalable solutions that support the business today and prepare it for growth. The role blends high-visibility project work with day-to-day support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape and evolve pay structures, incentive plans, and the job architecture that supports them
- Act as the go-to compensation resource for HR partners and business leaders on leveling, market data, new hire offers, promotions, and restructures
- Play a hands-on role in a major job leveling and career path initiative, including discussions with senior leaders
- Own the yearly merit and pay planning process end to end, from launch to results review
- Run market pricing and pay equity analyses that inform leadership decisions
- Build and maintain the policies and documentation that keep pay decisions consistent
- Be the compensation voice in the HRIS platform, working with the systems team on improvements and reporting
- Spot ways to streamline processes and strengthen reporting
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive, broad-based compensation experience
- Hands-on experience with salary administration, market pricing, job evaluation, and annual compensation cycles
- Working knowledge of a major career leveling methodology (such as Aon, Korn Ferry, or WTW); leveling experience from a large, well-structured organization is a big plus
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into clear recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain compensation concepts in plain English
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Workday experience preferred
- Experience in retail, technology, manufacturing, or healthcare is welcome; public company experience is a plus but not required
