We're fully remote, with team members across the U.S. About the Role Know Your Customer (KYC) and counterparty due diligence are the first line of defense against financial crime, sanctions exposure, and reputational harm. As Ondo scales its institutional product offerings and onboards a growing number of counterparties across multiple jurisdictions, we are looking for a dedicated Compliance KYC Manager to own, enhance, and oversee our end-to-end customer risk management lifecycle. This is a foundational role—not simply operational. You will own the KYC infrastructure that enables Ondo to demonstrate to regulators, auditors, and institutional partners that the program meets the standard of a mature financial services organization. Responsibilities Own a comprehensive Customer Risk Rating framework, including tiering criteria, scoring logic, and documentation standards across the counterparty portfolio. Own the Enhanced Due Diligence framework, including trigger events, workflow documentation, and escalation protocols. Define and manage monitoring and refresh cadences across all counterparty tiers, ensuring risk profiles remain current and documented. Oversee review queues, escalations, and SLA management, maintaining operational efficiency as onboarding volume grows. Serve as the primary KYC/AML expert in audits, regulatory inquiries, and partner due diligence processes. Requirements 5+ years of experience in KYC, AML, or compliance operations within financial services or fintech Deep knowledge of AML/BSA regulatory requirements, risk-based customer due diligence, and OFAC sanctions compliance Demonstrated experience designing or managing Customer Risk Rating methodologies and EDD programs Experience supporting regulatory examinations or third-party audits in a compliance capacity Strong ability to translate regulatory requirements into scalable operational frameworks Excellent written communication skills; able to produce clear policies, procedures, and program documentation Nice to Haves Experience in digital assets, blockchain, or crypto-native financial services Familiarity with institutional onboarding workflows across multiple jurisdictions CAMS certification or equivalent What we offer Competitive compensation including but not limited to salary, future token rights, and/or equity (according to your preferences) — We are well-funded and believe that great talent deserves great compensation.
