An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk (CCOR) team supporting Lloyds Bank Commercial Markets at a time of significant business, regulatory and technological change.

About this Opportunity

As part of the Global Markets (GM) Compliance Advisory team, you will provide risk-based regulatory advice, oversight and constructive challenge across a broad range of Markets activities, with a particular focus on the Commodities business. Working closely with front office, control functions and senior management, you will help the business manage conduct and compliance risks, support strategic initiatives and deliver positive client and market outcomes.

The role offers exposure to a diverse range of products, business initiatives and regulatory developments. You will advise on the interpretation and application of relevant regulatory obligations, market standards and industry codes, whilst supporting the assessment of new products, business change programmes and emerging risks. This is a London-based role located on the Markets trading floor.

As Lloyds Banking Group delivers its Accelerate 2030 strategy, Financial Markets Compliance Advisory plays a critical role in enabling sustainable business growth while maintaining high standards of conduct, governance and regulatory compliance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your markets expertise, work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to the safe and responsible delivery of the Group's strategic ambitions.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to a senior member of GM Compliance Advisory, the position will involve:

  • Providing day-to-day Compliance Advisory support to the Commodities business, advising on regulatory, conduct and transactional matters arising from business activities.
  • Providing advice on applicable regulatory requirements and market standards, including FCA rules, MiFID II, MAR, EMIR, trading venue obligations, Swap Dealer requirements and relevant industry standards (including FMSB, GFXC and Precious Metals Code where applicable).
  • Supporting new products, business initiatives and strategic change programmes, ensuring regulatory risks are appropriately identified and managed.
  • Monitoring and assessing regulatory developments and emerging risks, providing timely guidance and briefings to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Partnering with colleagues across CCOR, including Surveillance, Control Room and Compliance Monitoring, to ensure effective coverage and escalation of compliance risks.
  • Supporting internal and external regulatory enquiries, thematic reviews and assurance activities.
  • Delivering compliance training and promoting a strong culture of conduct, integrity and good market practice across the business.

  • Proven ability to provide credible advice, challenge and oversight to front-office businesses and senior stakeholders.

  • Sound regulatory judgement and the ability to apply complex regulatory requirements to commercial activities and strategic initiatives.
