Remediation Project – Compliance Specialist (12‑Month Contract) – Ireland (Remote)
A major international professional services firm with a significant presence in the Cayman Islands is undertaking a large‑scale compliance remediation programme. They are seeking an experienced compliance professional to operate independently from Ireland, providing structured oversight, quality assurance, and documentation support across multiple remediation workstreams.
This role is suited to someone with Cayman or offshore compliance exposure, or strong experience in AML/CFT/CPF, CDD, CRA, sanctions, and beneficial ownership remediation within regulated environments.
The Role
• CDD uplift and documentation clean‑up
• Client Risk Assessment (CRA) refresh
• Beneficial ownership remediation
• Sanctions screening updates
• Onboarding compliance gap closure
You will work closely with compliance analysts and senior stakeholders in Cayman to ensure remediation items are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with offshore regulatory expectations.
What You’ll Do
• Maintain remediation trackers, documentation logs, and structured reporting.
• Review and validate remediation outputs to ensure regulatory accuracy and audit readiness.
• Monitor progress across compliance workstreams and escalate risks or delays.
• Coordinate with compliance, onboarding, corporate services, and legal teams across jurisdictions.
• Ensure documentation is accurately maintained in relevant systems (including Viewpoint).
• Provide clear weekly and monthly updates to Cayman compliance leadership.
• Operate independently and manage workload without daily supervision.
What You’ll Bring
• 5+ years’ experience in compliance, AML, regulatory remediation, or corporate services within a law firm, financial institution, or funds administration environment.
• Strong understanding of AML/CFT/CPF, CDD, CRA methodologies, beneficial ownership rules, and sanctions compliance.
• Experience supporting remediation or uplift projects.
• Ability to interpret complex entity structures (funds, trusts, SPVs, CLOs, exempt companies).
• High attention to detail with strong documentation and organisational skills.
• Confident communicator able to work across time zones and drive accountability.
• Cayman or offshore experience is a distinct advantage.
