Configuration Management Analyst II

In this role, you will maintain product configuration data and support engineering change management processes across the product lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, product traceability, and efficient implementation of product changes that support business and customer needs. This role is based on-site in our Boulder, CO location.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Create and maintain part numbers, bills of materials (BOMs), specifications, and related product data within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to ensure accurate product configuration records.
• Process engineering change requests, change orders, and change actions while supporting implementation activities across the product lifecycle.
• Analyze proposed design changes, perform where-used analysis, and assist in evaluating and documenting impacts to product configurations, documentation, and manufacturing processes.
• Review design release documentation to ensure configuration identification, compliance requirements, and data quality standards are met.
• Coordinate implementation workflows by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and supporting the timely completion of change-related activities.
• Support new product development and sustaining engineering projects by creating and maintaining accurate product structures and configuration records.
• Manage ERP and PLM metadata, validate product information, and maintain traceability of product configurations throughout the product lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and data quality while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Configuration Management function.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support efficient product lifecycle and change management processes.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• Two (2) years experience supporting configuration management, product data management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, or a related technical environment.
• Experience working with product data, bills of materials (BOMs), technical documentation, or engineering change processes.
• Working knowledge of configuration management principles and product lifecycle processes.
• Experience using PLM, ERP, or similar business systems.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities effectively.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• CM2 certification or a related Configuration Management credential.
• Knowledge of engineering change management processes in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with PLM and ERP platforms such as Oracle, Enovia, SAP, Agile PLM, Windchill, or Teamcenter.
• Involvement in New Product Development (NPD) programs and cross-functional product teams.
• Understanding of product lifecycle management, document control, and data governance principles.
• A track record of identifying opportunities for process improvements and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary range is $68,000 – $98,000 commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
