Configuration Manager

What will you be doing in this role? Accountable for Service Configuration Management and the CMDB. Defining, executing, monitoring, and continuously improving the Service Configuration Management practice. Establishing, tracking, and reporting on Service Configuration Management and CMDB KPIs. Ensuring that the CMDB contains accurate and up-to-date information. Ensuring that service trees are maintained and kept up to date. Ensuring that Service Configuration Management processes and the CMDB are accurately reflected in the ITSM solution. Preparing and maintaining policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that support the Service Configuration Management practice. Contributing to the implementation and improvement of other ITIL practices. Creating and maintaining a positive customer experience. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. What do you need to succeed in this position? Bachelor’s degree plus at least 5 years of IT experience, including 2 years in a similar role or relevant project experience. Strong practical knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM), particularly Service Configuration Management. Proven experience in defining, implementing, documenting, and improving Service Configuration Management practices. Hands-on experience in implementing, managing, and governing a CMDB, including CI lifecycle management. Proven ownership of CMDB data quality, governance, and continuous improvement. Experience integrating CMDB with Change Enablement and other ITSM processes. Practical knowledge of data source management, automated discovery, and CMDB integrations. Experience creating, maintaining, and mapping services, service trees, and dependencies. Strong understanding of IT service lifecycle management, complex information systems, and their interoperability. Proven experience with CMDB reporting, auditing, and ServiceNow Configuration Management/CMDB. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong reporting and organizational abilities.
