Construction Project Coordinator - Construction Scheduling About WES Construction WES Construction specializes in building-envelope remediation and exterior renovation for occupied condominium and multifamily communities. Our work requires disciplined planning, technical expertise, clear communication, and respect for the people who live in the buildings where we work. Position Summary WES Construction is seeking a full-time, remote Construction Project Coordinator focused on construction scheduling across multiple active projects. This position will develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules from bidding and preconstruction through active construction and closeout. Construction scheduling is the primary responsibility. This is not a general administrative assistant or broad project-support role. Job Details Work set up: Work from home Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM | Pacific Time (PST) Holiday: Follows WES Construction's U.S. holiday schedule: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day Primary Responsibilities Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and scopes of work to understand project sequencing and schedule requirements. Support estimating during the bidding process by meeting with the Estimators and Project Managers to review plans, scopes of work, and anticipated sequencing, and prepare preliminary construction schedules that identify overall project duration. Work with Estimators and Project Managers to identify scheduling assumptions, long-lead materials, subcontractor sequencing, owner decisions, and other project considerations. Develop detailed baseline schedules for awarded projects. Maintain current schedules for multiple projects at different stages of construction. Meet with the applicable Project Manager and Superintendent at least weekly to review actual progress, upcoming activities, constraints, and needed schedule revisions. Update project schedules weekly using verified information from Project Managers and Superintendents. Support Superintendents in preparing and maintaining practical three-week look-ahead schedules. Coordinate and track subcontractor sequencing, material procurement, inspections, access requirements, and other schedule-dependent activities. Track and clearly communicate schedule impacts associated with RFIs, change orders, added scope, unforeseen conditions, owner or consultant decision delays, design revisions, work interruptions, material constraints, subcontractor availability, weather, and occupied-building conditions. Identify developing conflicts, missed milestones, required decisions, and opportunities to resequence work or recover time. Prepare concise schedule reports and present relevant scheduling information during internal and external project meetings. Maintain schedule visibility through punch-list work, final inspections, corrective work, and project closeout. Keep clear records of schedule assumptions, revisions, milestones, and significant impacts. Limited tasks directly supporting schedule accuracy, such as confirming procurement dates or tracking schedule-related decisions, may be included. Unrelated administrative duties will not interfere with the role’s scheduling focus. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience developing and maintaining construction schedules from plans, specifications, and scopes of work. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, activity relationships, dependencies, milestones, and schedule constraints. Experience updating schedules based on actual field progress and input from Project Managers and Superintendents. Ability to manage schedules for multiple active projects. Working knowledge of subcontractor coordination, material procurement, inspections, and construction logistics. Ability to identify and clearly communicate schedule risks, delays, sequencing conflicts, and impacts. Strong organizational, follow-through, and written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable participating in weekly schedule-review meetings and presenting schedule updates. Able to work independently and remain accountable in a remote environment. Available during WES Construction’s established Pacific Time work hours. Preferred Experience Experience with commercial, multifamily, condominium, building-envelope, exterior, or occupied-building renovation projects is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, Planner, Excel, or other scheduling and project-management platforms is helpful but not required. Practical construction-scheduling ability is more important than experience with any specific software.
