Construction Project Manager

We're looking for a Construction Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial construction projects remotely across remodeling and new construction. You will manage project timelines, coordinate with contractors and subcontractors, read and interpret construction plans, prepare estimates, and serve as the subject matter expert keeping projects on track from start to finish. This is a fully remote role. You will not be on-site, so strong communication, precise documentation, and the ability to manage people and timelines without physical presence are non-negotiable. Why You'll Want to Join You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th) Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy Observance of Holidays per company guidelines 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive This role requires availability during US business hours High-ownership role with direct impact on project delivery across a growing real estate portfolio Work across both residential and commercial projects with variety in scope and scale What You'll Work On Project Timeline Management Build, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules across multiple active residential and commercial construction projects simultaneously Track milestones, dependencies, and critical path items and flag delays or risks to ownership proactively Coordinate sequencing across trades, subcontractors, and material deliveries to keep projects on schedule Update and communicate project status consistently without waiting to be asked Plan Reading and Technical Review Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP construction plans accurately Review plans for constructability issues, conflicts, or gaps and surface findings clearly Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve plan-related questions or discrepancies Ensure all work in the field aligns with approved plans and specifications Estimating and Cost Management Prepare detailed cost estimates for remodeling and new construction projects across residential and commercial scopes Review contractor and subcontractor bids and provide informed recommendations Track actual costs against estimates and flag variances early Support procurement and budget management throughout the project lifecycle Contractor and Subcontractor Coordination Manage relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors remotely Ensure all parties have the information, approvals, and materials they need to perform without delays Hold contractors accountable to scope, schedule, and quality standards through clear documentation and consistent follow-up Coordinate inspections, permits, and approvals as needed Documentation and Reporting Maintain organized project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and meeting notes Prepare regular project status reports for ownership with clear progress updates, risks, and next steps Keep all project records accurate, current, and accessible What You Bring Proven experience managing residential and commercial construction projects including both remodeling and new construction Strong timeline management skills with the ability to run multiple projects simultaneously without losing control of any of them Ability to read and interpret construction plans including architectural, structural, and MEP drawings Demonstrated estimating experience with the ability to prepare accurate cost estimates independently Subject matter expertise in construction processes, trades sequencing, and project delivery Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to manage contractors and stakeholders remotely Highly organized and detail-oriented with rigorous documentation habits Self-directed and reliable in a fully remote environment Nice to Have Experience managing projects for a real estate investment, development, or holding company Familiarity with construction project management software such as Procore, Buildertrend, or similar platforms Background in both ground-up new construction and renovation or remodeling projects Experience working remotely with on-site teams across multiple geographic locations How to Apply Please include: Your updated resume A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) introducing yourself, describing your experience managing residential and commercial construction projects, and walking through how you keep a project on schedule when a contractor falls behind or a key material is delayed Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.
