Job Description Client The client is a leading supplier of non-alcoholic cordial in the UK as well as the Middle East. Its business model is outsourced manufacturing to third parties. Its logistics revolve around sourcing the necessary materials for the manufacturer and then ensuring efficient bottling and then distribution of the bottled product to vendors. It has been impacted by Covid 19 with its “out of home volumes” declining significantly. In addition its volumes in the Middle East are seasonally volatile. Alongside this several key contracts in the supply chain are coming up for renewal, and volumes underpinning some of the contracts have declined. The firm’s management also wish to look at their logistics chain to determine if it is optimally configured, and if not, to identify and deliver efficiencies. Role Candidates are expected to be senior procurement consultants able to interact effectively with the clients executives and help them determine the best way forward. To fulfil these requirements, personnel must have a combination of food and beverages procurement experience, ideally with experience of the manufacture and distribution of non-alcoholic bottled products. Experience of contracts negotiation and supply chain/logistics optimisation is also important. Candidates would be expected to have a can do attitude and solutions based approach. It is likely that the candidate would be working alone and have experience of leveraging the clients staff to help deliver findings Logistics, Location & Rate Logistics: Work is likely to commence around December 2020. The contract duration is not yet fully determined but is likely in the first phase, to be between 6 -12 weeks. ​ Location: United Kingdom and currently remote work is possible, though should the current environment positively change the expectation is to undertake appropriate office work at the client’s location. ​ Rates : The net daily rate is expected to be between GBP 900 - 1,000 per diem, dependent upon experience, plus VAT. The contracts are anticipated to be outside IR 35.
