About State Street Investment Management

At State Street Investment Management, we're a global leader in asset management, entrusted with helping investors achieve their financial goals through a broad range of investment solutions. With over four decades of investment experience, we partner with institutional investors, financial intermediaries, and wealth managers worldwide, offering expertise across index, active, cash, multi-asset, and alternative investment strategies.

As the asset management arm of State Street Corporation, we combine global scale, deep investment expertise, and a culture of innovation to help clients navigate evolving markets and build resilient portfolios. We are committed to delivering investment excellence, fostering strong client partnerships, and creating better outcomes for the investors we serve.

The European Client Coverage Group is responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with institutional investors, investment consultants, and key market stakeholders across the region. Working closely with investment, product, marketing, and client-facing teams, the group plays a critical role in supporting business growth, deepening client engagement, and promoting State Street Investment Management's capabilities across European markets.

Role Summary

We are seeking a motivated and intellectually curious Consultant Relations Analyst to join our collaborative Consultant Relations team in London.

In this role, you will help develop and maintain relationships with the investment consultants who advise many of our clients and prospects. Your primary focus will be the UK consultant market, while also supporting broader consultant relations activities across Europe. You will research consulting firms and industry trends, maintain consultant database profiles, coordinate RFPs and due diligence questionnaires, and support the preparation of consultant meetings and business development opportunities.

You will work closely with colleagues across Investments, Product, Sales, Marketing, Client Service, Operations, Risk, Legal, and Compliance. Through your work, you will help strengthen consultant relationships, support the retention of existing business, and contribute to the growth of new investment mandates across the region.

What You Will Do

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the consultant marketplace, including firms' structures, priorities, research methodologies, and manager selection processes.
  • Research industry developments, client needs, market trends, and competitor activity across Europe, translating findings into actionable insights for the team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on State Street Investment Management and its investment strategies across key consultant databases.
  • Coordinate high-quality, accurate, and timely responses to RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence questionnaires.
  • Prepare briefing materials, meeting notes, presentations, and follow-up actions for consultant meetings.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of consultant activity, contacts, and opportunities within Salesforce.
  • Partner with Consultant Relations Managers and colleagues across the firm to drive priorities forward and deliver a consistent, professional experience to external stakeholders.

What You Will Bring

  • Two to three years of relevant experience, ideally within asset management, investment consulting, client service, business development, product management, or investment research.
  • A genuine interest in financial markets, investing, and the UK pensions and institutional investment landscape.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence working with stakeholders across different business functions and levels of seniority.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. A qualification in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field would be advantageous but is not essential.

How You Will Work

  • You are intellectually curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • You take ownership of your work, exercise sound judgement, and seek guidance when needed.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively, distilling complex information into concise and meaningful insights.
  • You thrive in a collaborative team environment where colleagues support one another and contribute to shared goals.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce and consultant databases would be an advantage.
  • You are comfortable taking a hands-on approach, whether conducting detailed analysis, coordinating complex deliverables, or preparing for high-profile consultant meetings.
