This is an opportunity to build a meaningful consulting career while contributing to work that creates positive outcomes for people, communities, and the environment.

Why This Role Matters

What Your Impact Is

In this role, you will support ERM projects and clients to strengthen community and Indigenous engagement and effectively manage social risks and opportunities associated with major capital projects and industrial operations.

Your work will help clients:

  • Understand and address social risks, opportunities, and stakeholder concerns.
  • Develop practical strategies that support responsible business practices and project success.
  • Build productive relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities, governments, and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver positive social, environmental, and economic outcomes through effective project execution.

Working as part of multidisciplinary teams, you will help develop innovative, actionable solutions to some of the most pressing social challenges facing industry today.

What You'll Bring

Required

  • 2+ years of relevant experience, including stakeholder and Indigenous engagement, fieldwork (e.g., interviews, focus groups), impact assessment, environmental and social due diligence, and/or related activities in Canada and/or internationally.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, demonstrated through clear and respectful interactions with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to tailor deliverables to the specific needs and audiences of clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, take direction, and work independently on tasks contributing to broader project outcomes.
  • Ability to conduct research (e.g., web-based research, literature reviews, surveys, and/or interviews), analyze data, and present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Initiative and willingness to take on new responsibilities, support new initiatives, and seek clarification when needed.
  • Critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with Indigenous Nations or Indigenous organizations in British Columbia and Northern Canada.
  • Experience working with and/or engaging vulnerable populations.
  • Previous consulting experience.
  • Experience synthesizing complex environmental and engineering information into plain-language summaries.
  • Project management skills and experience.
  • Working fluency in a second language (French or Spanish preferred).
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support successful consulting engagements through research, analysis, and preparation of project deliverables.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities, including engagement planning, engagement tracking, and development of engagement materials.
  • Support note-taking and reporting for stakeholder meetings, client meetings, workshops, and engagement sessions.
