The role
Sitting within the M&E Marketing team, you’ll play a part in bringing ITV’s content to audiences across the UK, helping develop and deliver creative, insight-led marketing campaigns that get people excited, spark conversations and drive viewing across Broadcast and Streaming.
You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your own campaigns and marketing activity, while supporting the delivery of bigger, high-profile campaigns alongside experienced marketers. Working with teams across Creative, Media, Insight, Publicity and Commissioning, you’ll help turn great ideas into impactful marketing, while learning how campaigns are developed, delivered and evaluated.
We’re looking for someone who loves great content, is full of ideas and enjoys making things happen. You’ll be organised, curious about audiences and culture, and excited by the opportunity to help create marketing that makes a difference.
Main responsibilities
- Develop clear and effective campaign briefs, helping to turn audience insight, content propositions and cultural opportunities into focused briefs that provide a strong foundation for marketing activity, using our audience-first framework.
- Deliver your own campaigns and support bigger campaign activity, working closely with colleagues in Media, Creative, Strategy, Delivery and Publicity to coordinate and deliver activity across paid, owned and earned channels, from initial planning through to evaluation.
- Coordinate campaign delivery and administration within Marketing, managing Marketing timelines, tracking actions, organising meetings, briefing stakeholders, keeping campaign materials up to date and ensuring tasks and deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Champion creative and distinctive marketing, bringing ideas to the table and supporting the development of bold, conversation-driving campaigns that generate excitement around ITV content.
- Monitor market and competitor activity, keeping up to date with viewing trends, audience behaviours and competitor campaigns, and sharing insights and ideas that could strengthen our marketing.
- Ensure alignment with ITV’s brand positioning, working with the Brand team to ensure marketing activity reflects ITV’s tone of voice and There’s No Place Like ITV platform.
- Support the delivery of the Partner Experience programme, working with the Partner Marketing team to coordinate opportunities that bring key distribution partners closer to ITV’s content and brand.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Experience or exposure to working collaboratively with stakeholders in a fast-moving environment, building positive relationships across teams.
- Some experience supporting the development or delivery of marketing campaigns, ideally across multiple channels.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate activity and keep projects moving while maintaining attention to detail.
- An interest in audience insight and data, with the ability to understand trends and use findings to inform marketing activity.
- An appreciation of creative marketing and how campaigns can spark conversations, excite audiences and drive viewing.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to share ideas, contribute to discussions and communicate clearly with different stakeholders.
- An understanding of media types, particularly digital marketing, and an interest in how media and creative agencies work.
- An interest in television, entertainment and the UK TV marketplace, including changing viewing habits and how audiences discover content.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- A team player who enjoys collaborating with others and contributing to a positive team environment.
- A genuine passion for television, entertainment, popular culture and the shows that get people talking.
- A proactive, hands-on approach, with the confidence to take ownership of tasks and the initiative to spot opportunities.
- An enthusiasm for learning, developing new skills and building a career in marketing.
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities, juggle different projects and stay organised in a fast-paced environment.
