The Role Vermillio is looking for a highly motivated individual familiar with NIL, IP and copyright law to join our Customer Success team and own content protection operations end to end. You’ll run takedowns, making rights-based publish decisions on TraceID results, and serving as the day-to-day legal rights contact for some of the most recognizable talent and IP in the world. This is a chance to combat intellectual property theft and work on substantive IP and content protection matters from day one. Our ideal candidate brings experience in IP enforcement and a real interest in working at the intersection of emerging technologies and copyright law. Key Responsibilities Manage takedowns lifecycle end to end; answering clients who have questions about takedowns and rights. Review infraction results and determine what to publish based on the clients’ rights. Draft correspondence and other written materials, including editing and reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness. Prepare and administer Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notices and cease and desist letters. Collaborate with trade organizations, vendors, and internal teams to address unauthorized use of likeness, copyrights and trademarks. Support in-house attorneys and the Customer Success Team in safeguarding intellectual property rights, including administering DMCA notices and responding to rights violations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related field 1-2 years of direct or equivalent experience working in content protection, intellectual property or patent related fields Proficiency in legal writing and legal research. Working knowledge of US copyright and trademark law, and of DMCA notice-and-takedown practice. Familiarity with social media outlets and user generated content platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident interfacing with high-profile clients and internal leadership. Ability to communicate effectively cross functionally, internally and externally. Proven ability to manage timelines, track follow-ups, and drive work to completion independently. Sound judgment handling sensitive and confidential client information with discretion. Nice to Have JD from an accredited law school Familiarity with right of publicity / NIL and deepfake or likeness-misuse enforcement. Experience with anti-piracy vendors, platform trust & safety teams, or high-volume notice submission tools. Background in music, film/TV, publishing, or talent representation.
