Content, SEO & GEO Marketer (Remote – Nigeria)
Position: Content, SEO & GEO Marketer
Location: Remote (Nigeria)
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: CEO
About the Company
We are building the future of AI-powered business software, helping businesses automate customer engagement, sales, and operations using AI Phone Agents, AI Web Agents, and intelligent workspaces. Marketing at the company is a three-person team built around one number: the first 10,000 paying customers.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Content, SEO & GEO Marketer to own the largest single growth engine at Joble: organic search and AI-assistant visibility, targeted to deliver roughly half of our first 10,000 customers. This role spends €0 on paid ads. Its currency is pages, reviews, and citations, and its output compounds: content shipped in month one is still producing results two years later.
The core problem this role exists to solve is that "Joble" currently gets pulled into the semantic gravity of "job" in search and AI retrieval, and there is almost no third-party content for AI engines to cite. Until this role builds that corpus, AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity cannot recommend Joble. This is one of the highest-leverage problems in the company right now.
You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Partnerships & Lifecycle Marketer and the Performance & Funnel Marketer as part of one shared growth mission.
Key Responsibilities
Content Engine
- Own and grow the blog, vertical solution pages, comparison pages, case studies, and definitional pages
- Publish a minimum of two pieces per week, or one piece plus one structural page (vertical, comparison, or case study) a cadence that does not slip for polish
- Write for search intent first: one query cluster, one reader, one page
- Apply E-E-A-T principles to every piece: named author, real product screenshots, dated content, and a citable number in every article
- Build honest, factual, tabular comparison pages that are trustworthy enough for AI engines to quote
- Prioritise vertical-specific content ("AI receptionist for salons") over generic industry commentary
- Repurpose every published piece across LinkedIn, newsletter, and sales enablement
- Refresh at least one ageing piece per month (update, expand, re-date)
Technical & On-Page SEO
- Own and work through the technical SEO audit backlog: canonicals, hreflang, schema, titles
- Maintain self-referencing canonicals and full hreflang clusters on every page
- Implement schema markup across the site: Organization, SoftwareApplication+Offers, FAQPage, Article, BreadcrumbList
- Ensure every new piece is internally linked on publish, no orphan pages
- Ship at least one technical SEO fix from the audit backlog every week
- Measure and optimise for trials, not just traffic
GEO / AI Visibility
- Own AI-assistant visibility across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity
- Maintain one canonical entity sentence for Joble, used verbatim across the About page, schema, profiles, PR, and guest content
- Maintain llms.txt and a machine-readable "what is Joble" front door
- Track a defined prompt matrix monthly across all major AI assistants, logging presence, position, accuracy, and sentiment
- Keep key citable facts (pricing, languages supported, data residency, setup time) consistent and plainly stated in text wherever they appear
Third-Party Corpus & Reviews
- Own review velocity and presence across G2, Capterra, GetApp, and Trustpilot, plus relevant directories and roundups
- Respond to every new review, positive or negative, within 24 hours
- Run a weekly review-generation push in coordination with the Partnerships team's NPS loop, targeting 2–3 new public reviews per week
- Treat review growth as a ranking activity, not an administrative task
Localisation
- Maintain content and SEO across six languages: English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, and Arabic
- Run one language-parity localisation batch per month in rotation
- Coordinate freelance, native-speaker localisation review as needed
Reporting & Collaboration
- Send a written monthly report to the CEO covering ranking movement, organic trials, review count and rating, AI-citation rate, and pieces shipped
- Run a full AI-visibility prompt matrix test monthly and report findings
- Review content ROI monthly: trials per page, doubling down on what converts and retiring what doesn't
- Participate in a weekly 30-minute growth stand-up with the other two marketers and the CEO
- Share keyword and search-intent data with the Performance & Funnel Marketer, and winning organic topics and objection language with the Partnerships & Lifecycle Marketer
- Contribute to one shared team dashboard: trials, activation, paid spend, organic sessions, marketplace installs, and referrals
Requirements
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in content marketing, SEO, or a closely related discipline, ideally in B2B SaaS
- Demonstrated experience building and executing a content calendar at a sustained weekly cadence
- Experience with technical SEO fundamentals: canonicals, hreflang, schema markup, site audits
- Familiarity with, or strong interest in, GEO / AI-visibility optimisation (how AI assistants surface and cite brands)
- Experience managing or growing a third-party review presence (G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, or similar)
Technical Skills
- Strong command of SEO tooling (e.g. Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, or similar)
- Working knowledge of schema markup and structured data
- Comfortable working with CMS platforms and basic on-page implementation
- Familiarity with AI-assistant prompt tracking or willingness to build this practice from scratch
- Excellent written English, with the ability to write clean, factual, comparison-grade copy
Core Competencies
- Strong, disciplined writer who can hit a consistent publishing cadence without sacrificing quality
- Structural thinker who can diagnose why a brand isn't being found or cited, and build the fix systematically
- Comfortable owning a number (organic trials, citation rate) rather than just producing content
- High attention to factual accuracy and honesty in comparative content
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and asynchronously in a remote environment
- Comfortable coordinating across a small, cross-functional team with shared goals
Work Structure
- Full-time, remote role, reporting directly to the CEO
- Requires a protected daily deep-work block for writing, editing, and localisation
- Operates on a sacred weekly publishing cadence: two pieces a week, every week - a missed week is reported, not hidden
- Works as one of three marketers sharing a single company-wide growth mission
Compensation
₦300,000 monthly salary
