Contract Manager (infrastructure) We are recruiting a Contract Manager on behalf of our client, an international consulting and engineering group active in Romania for almost 30 years, with services in road and rail transport infrastructure, water and environment, energy, urban development, and institutional advisory . Globally, the company creates and operates intelligent infrastructure and buildings that support the transition to a low-carbon economy and sustainable territorial development. This is a role where contracts, claims, and risk sit at the centre of the project — from the tender stage through to project reviews. You’ll develop, review, and negotiate complex contracts, administer them throughout the project lifecycle, support claims management and dispute resolution, and work closely with Project Managers and Technical Coordinators as well as the central Contract Management team . The work is built around international design and contract management standards, including FIDIC. Main Responsibilities Develop, review, and negotiate complex contracts with clients, vendors, and partners Administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures Ensure effective project governance through contract compliance monitoring, reporting, and risk management Support claims management (preparation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution) and assist in resolving contract disputes Analyse and interpret contract terms and conditions to protect the organization’s interests Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and address contractual issues; monitor contract performance and resolve discrepancies • Prepare and maintain comprehensive contract documentation and records; develop and implement contract management processes and best practices Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for contract-related risks Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Technical Coordinators; support them in drafting contractual correspondence Play an active role in project reviews (including the financial part) and in the tender phase, giving input at offer preparation Liaise with the central Contract Management team Requirements Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial practices, and risk management Extensive experience with FIDIC Conditions of Contract and/or similar, HG1, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities; able to work independently and collaboratively Department Construction Role Contract Manager Locations Bucharest Remote status Hybrid Employment type Full-time About Evolve Today This text can be a short description about your company.
