We are in relentless pursuit of an equitable and inspiring workplace that is respectful of all, reflects and represents the world in which we live, and fosters trust, collaboration and belonging. Consistent with this approach, we hire the best qualified candidates for all positions.
Edelman is seeking a Contracts Analyst to join the Contracts team as part of Edelman’s Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career contracts professional who has experience drafting and reviewing commercial agreements and is looking to continue developing their skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
The Contracts Analyst will be part of a small team responsible for reviewing and supporting a variety of agreements across the business for multiple clients in the United States and Canada. The team reviews the financial and commercial terms of agreements, as well as all terms of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs).
The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of relevant contracts experience reviewing NDAs, SOWs, and vendor agreements, strong attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn. Experience with Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and other commercial contract types is a plus but is not required. Prior experience within the public relations, marketing, advertising, or related professional services industries is also a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, revise, and support the negotiation of NDAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, and other commercial contracts.
- Review financial and commercial terms in client and vendor agreements, identifying potential issues and working with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to resolve them.
- Review all terms and conditions of NDAs and SOWs in accordance with company standards and established guidelines.
- Identify contractual terms that require additional review or escalation and coordinate with Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders as appropriate.
- Support the review of Master Services Agreements and other contract types based on experience and business needs.
- Partner with internal teams to understand business objectives and help facilitate the contracting process in a timely and practical manner.
- Maintain accurate records and help ensure contracts move efficiently through the review and approval process.
- Develop a strong understanding of Edelman’s contracting standards, policies, and risk considerations.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience drafting, reviewing, or administering commercial contracts including NDAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, and/or similar business agreements.
- Experience with Master Services Agreements and additional commercial contract types is preferred but not required.
- Experience in the public relations, marketing, advertising, or related professional services industries is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. J.D. is a plus but is not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple agreements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative and service-oriented approach to working with internal stakeholders.
- Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in continuing to learn and develop contract-review and negotiation skills.
Working Model
This is a hybrid position and must be based in any Edelman office. Because the role supports teams and workflows aligned with the Pacific Time zone, the successful candidate must be available to work Pacific Time business hours, regardless of office location.
What We’re Looking For
Our contracts function is a small, collaborative team, so we are looking for someone who enjoys being an active contributor and working closely with colleagues across the organization. The successful candidate will bring energy, curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
This role is particularly well suited for someone who has built a solid foundation in contract review and wants an opportunity to broaden their experience, take on increasingly complex work, and continue developing their commercial contracting skills within a global organization.
$50,000 - $70,000 per year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
DJEH offers a wide range of benefits: medical and dental insurance, vision, 401K, life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off, travel assistance and wellness programing.
DJEH is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and believes in diversity, equity, and inclusion. We seek applications from all qualified candidates without regard to race, color, gender, sex, age, religion, physical or mental disability, military and veteran status, or any other basis protected by federal, state or local law. If you require a reasonable accommodation in any part of the employment process, please let us know.
