As the Contracts and Compliance Analyst, you will be an integral member of the BAE Systems OneArc team, providing critical administrative and analytical support. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, performing contract administration, conducting due diligence checks, and ensuring adherence to company policies and processes. In this role, you will manage agreements, collect required information, facilitate reviews and approvals, and maintain central documentation repositories for a complex, multi-project organization.
Your primary objective is to support contract drafting, negotiation, management, and administration for the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions, ultimately becoming the internal source of truth for colleagues regarding contractual documents, requirements, and regulatory bodies.
What You Will Do
- Contract Management: Draft agreements and review non-standard contracts alongside the Director of Contracts and Compliance and the Legal team.
- Process Coordination: Manage the collection of necessary internal reviews, support negotiations, and maintain strict document control.
- Approvals & Dissemination: Obtain signatures from senior managers and executives upon completion of internal reviews, manage document dissemination, and act as the primary liaison for parent company approval submissions.
- Lifecycle Administration: Provide contract administration and oversight throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring strict adherence to contract requirements and internal policies.
- Compliance & Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence checks on customers and suppliers. Review and complete required representations, certifications, and business information requests.
- Research & Guidance: Research government and commercial contracting regulations to provide accurate guidance to colleagues.
- Recordkeeping: File documents in internal systems, maintain contract registers, and perform periodic audits to ensure immaculate recordkeeping.
- General Support: Complete additional administrative duties for the Contracts and Compliance department as required.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or regional equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience in contract administration, government contracting, legal administration, or a closely related field.
- Core Skills: Critical and analytical thinking, sound judgment, and mental agility.
- Communication: Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently and effectively engage with all levels of management in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio) and a demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new platforms.
