Contracts Manager (Remote)
AstoncarterContracts Manager | Remote with occasional travel | 6-month Contract-to-hire The Contract Manager provides strategic guidance to business units, program teams, and stakeholders on contract administration, compliance, and risk management matters. This role is responsible for managing contract modifications, deliverables, correspondence, and associated documentation while ensuring compliance with company policies, applicable regulations, and customer requirements. The Contract Manager may support multiple contracts simultaneously or serve as the primary contract management resource for a large, complex program. Key Responsibilities Respond to complex inquiries related to contract requirements, obligations, modifications, and compliance matters. Identify contractual risks and issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions that support business objectives while minimizing risk. Review and manage contractual obligations of all parties to ensure terms and conditions are effectively administered and met. Prepare and distribute information regarding contract status, compliance requirements, modifications, deliverables, and performance metrics. Escalate unresolved contractual, compliance, or business issues to leadership as needed. Implement and maintain contract management processes, procedures, and best practices. Serve as the primary liaison between program teams, business stakeholders, and legal counsel to ensure legal and contractual matters are addressed promptly and effectively. Act as a key point of contact between the company and customers, subcontractors, vendors, and other external partners. Ensure project teams understand contractual requirements and monitor ongoing compliance with contract terms. Develop and enhance contract management tools, templates, methodologies, and processes to support operational efficiency. Build strong relationships with program leadership and business stakeholders to provide practical contractual guidance and support. Deliver training and mentorship on contract management practices, policies, and compliance requirements as needed. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 7 years of contract management experience within a Federal Government contracting environment. Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal procurement regulations. Experience supporting GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contracts, Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs), and Multi-Agency Contracts (MACs). Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Preferred: Experience managing reseller agreements, vendor relationships, asset management, and software licensing/procurement activities. Experience supporting technology, professional services, or government consulting contracts. Active security clearance is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chantilly, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $67.30/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
