The role The Control Systems / SCADA Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the systems and technologies used to monitor and operate Vector’s electricity network. Over the course of a full-time, ten-week placement, you’ll build a strong foundation in SCADA, ADMS and network operations, progressing from observation and shadowing to applied project work. You’ll gain exposure to real-time network operations, data interpretation and control systems engineering, while supporting documentation, testing and work within live system environments. Who are we looking for? You’ll be in your third or final year of an Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree, with an interest in power systems, control systems and network operations You’re curious, quick to learn and bring a positive, proactive attitude, with a willingness to take on feedback and build new skills You have developing analytical and problem-solving skills, and enjoy understanding how complex systems work You’re organised, manage your time effectively and can adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment You communicate well, listen and learn from others, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
