About The Role

Our client is looking for a hands-on Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting operations while helping build scalable financial processes in a fast-growing business. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys improving systems, creating structure, and partnering closely with leadership to support growth.

The ideal candidate has experience working in high-growth companies where processes evolve quickly and is comfortable balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day execution. This role will work closely with leadership, providing financial insights and operational support while ensuring the accounting function runs efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Build and improve accounting processes, workflows, and internal controls as the company scales.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate audits and work with external accountants and advisors.
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, efficiency, and financial visibility.
• Partner with leadership by providing financial analysis and recommendations that support business decisions.
• Assist with system implementations and process automation where appropriate.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, CA(SA), or equivalent qualification is preferred but not required.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or rapidly scaling company is required.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with modern accounting systems.
• Comfortable working in an evolving environment with changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
