At Bold.One, we don’t wait for momentum — we create it. We move fast, test boldly, and turn ideas into real results. And the real engine behind it all? Our people.
With 200+ ambitious teammates who own their work, learn fast, and lift each other up, this is a place where you’re trusted to think big and move with intent.
We’re looking for a Conversion Copy Editor & Strategist with a sharp eye for what makes people click, keep reading, and buy.
This is not a proofreading role. And it’s not a role where success is measured by how much copy you write.
Your main responsibility will be to raise the conversion quality of the copy our team produces – from reviewing individual headlines to challenging the logic, angle, positioning, persuasion, and structure of an entire funnel.
You should be able to look at a page and tell us not only what needs to change, but why it isn’t selling – and what could make it stronger.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Review and edit conversion-focused copy created by our writers across landing pages, product pages, advertorials, pre-sell pages, upsells, and other performance marketing assets;
Go beyond grammar and style by evaluating the sales logic, messaging hierarchy, angle, persuasion, proof, offer positioning, and overall conversion flow;
Identify weak, generic, repetitive, or unconvincing messaging and turn it into stronger, clearer, more persuasive copy;
Help writers develop stronger hooks, angles, mechanisms, benefits, objections, CTAs, and sales arguments;
Give clear, actionable feedback and explain the reasoning behind your edits so writers improve over time;
Help shape conversion strategies, messaging directions, and testing hypotheses based on the target audience, funnel stage, traffic source, and product positioning;
When needed, review performance and A/B testing results to understand what is working, what isn’t, and what should be tested next;
Spot recurring winning patterns and turn them into frameworks, guidelines, and AI-assisted workflows that help the whole team write better copy, faster;
Research competitors, market messaging, customer pain points, and successful direct-response approaches to uncover new opportunities;
Collaborate with product leads, designers, and other teams to make sure the copy, visuals, offer, and overall funnel work together;
Write or rewrite key pieces of copy when needed – especially when testing a new direction, solving a difficult conversion problem, or demonstrating a stronger approach.
WHAT WE EXPECT:
4+ years of experience in direct response, performance marketing, conversion copywriting, or a closely related field;
Hands-on experience with conversion-focused landing pages, advertorials, product pages, sales funnels, or similar DTC/eCommerce assets;
Exceptional copy judgment – you can quickly recognize the difference between copy that simply sounds good and copy that is built to sell;
A deep understanding of customer psychology, persuasion, positioning, offers, hooks, angles, objections, and conversion principles;
Strong editing skills – you’re comfortable restructuring, cutting, challenging, and strengthening someone else’s work;
Confidence giving direct, constructive feedback – and the ability to explain why something works or doesn’t work instead of relying only on personal preference;
Experience using performance data and A/B testing insights to make better copy decisions;
A habit of using AI tools to speed up research, ideation, editing, and copy iteration without sacrificing quality – plus the curiosity to keep up with what’s new, test it, and bring the team along;
A clear understanding of how messaging changes depending on awareness level, audience, product, traffic source, and funnel stage;
The ability to balance creative thinking with commercial thinking;
Comfort working across multiple products, audiences, and projects in a fast-moving environment;
Fluent / native-level English, with excellent written communication skills.
Strong advantage if you also have:
Experience in high-volume DTC or eCommerce environments;
Experience working with health, beauty, wellness, home, or other performance-driven consumer products;
Experience developing or managing structured copy testing frameworks;
Experience coaching, mentoring, or reviewing the work of other copywriters;
A solid understanding of CRO and how copy interacts with design, UX, offers, and the wider funnel.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
You won’t be measured by how many words you write.
You’ll be successful when the copy reaching production is consistently stronger, writers are making better conversion decisions on their own, weak messaging is caught before launch, testing produces clearer learnings, and winning approaches are turned into systems the whole team can use.
Ultimately, we want you to become one of the people who can look at a piece of conversion copy and confidently answer:
What is this trying to sell? Why should the customer care? What is stopping them from believing it? And how do we make the argument stronger?
