Conveyancing Paralegal (Australia)

Job Description This is a remote position. Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-focused Conveyancing Paralegal with hands-on experience supporting conveyancers or property lawyers within the Australian legal system. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in managing residential and/or commercial property transactions from start to finish, including preparing legal documents, conducting title searches, liaising with clients and other stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with applicable state-specific conveyancing laws. This role requires someone capable of handling files independently while working remotely in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end conveyancing processes for residential and/or commercial property transactions under Australian jurisdiction. Prepare and review key documents such as contracts of sale, transfer forms, settlement statements, and requisitions. Perform title searches, property certificate requests, and due diligence to ensure property is free of encumbrances. Liaise with clients, solicitors, real estate agents, banks, and government authorities throughout the conveyancing process. Ensure timely lodging of documents and completion of settlements through platforms such as PEXA. Monitor critical dates, including cooling-off periods and settlement schedules, and maintain meticulous records. Stay updated with legislative changes across Australian states impacting property law and conveyancing procedures. Requirements Diploma or Certificate in Conveyancing, Legal Studies, or Paralegal Studies; a law degree is a strong bonus. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Australian residential or commercial conveyancing. Strong knowledge of conveyancing procedures, state-specific legislation, and familiarity with PEXA and relevant online portals. Excellent document drafting, organization, and communication skills. Proven ability to work independently and manage files remotely with minimal supervision. Experience using conveyancing software and legal practice management tools.
