Position Description: Summary
This position exists to administer scholarships and provide student support services to scholarship recipients that empower student success in alignment with donor intent. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Scholarship Support, the Coordinator of Scholarship Support will be responsible for multiple high-profile, signature scholarship programs along with a variety of other foundation scholarships as needed. The Coordinator will provide coaching and holistic student support to a caseload of scholars in addition to event planning, recruitment, and reporting. Supporting foundation scholarships implementation and administration is a cross-departmental collaboration which will involve working with a variety of campus partners as well as donors.
This position will provide education and outreach to students and staff regarding scholarship opportunities in collaboration with campus partners. The Coordinator will also support the C2Hub goal of 100% student career engagement by providing career coaching to scholarship recipients as well as assisting with overall C2Hub career initiatives.

Position Description:
Scholarship Administration: 50%
- Participate in selection of scholars in accordance with donor agreements and scholarship requirements
- Track and manage scholarship funds
- Provide direct services to a caseload of 70-90 students in support of their retention, career development, and graduation at MSU Denver. Monitor student progress towards meeting scholarship program requirements and provide support as needed.
- Provide group coaching opportunities to scholars in support of their success.
- Collaborate with Classroom to Career Hub team to connect scholars to appropriate career exploration, counseling, and activities/opportunities
- Develop student events and activities designed to build community and enhance skillsets.
- Maintain Canvas courses to track scholarship requirement completion.
- Collaborate with MSU Denver Advancement, Office of Financial Aid, and donors to facilitate a smooth experience for students receiving scholarships.
- Coordinate with MSU Denver Advancement on opportunities for donor stewardship.
- In collaboration with Assistant Director, develop and monitor budget for scholar events, student staff, and other related costs.
- Support for Assistant Director’s Initiatives including but not limited to:
- Reisher Scholarship: support in event planning and execution for participants of the Reisher Scholarship
- Additionally: outreach events, scholars’ community event programming, and collaborative programming with Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. This position will support Assistant Director and Director with scholarship recruitment and nomination processes for applicable scholarship programs. The Coordinator will also assist with reporting appropriate data to any relevant stakeholders, including required end-of-year reports.
Scholarship Awareness and Promotion: 10%
- Act as the lead representative for the C2Hub Scholarship Support Team in scholarship promotion and education.
- Work with partners across campus to develop programming and materials to increase scholarship awareness and access. Recruit and encourage students to apply for scholarship opportunities.
Data Management and Strategic Planning: 10%
- Collaborate with Classroom to Career Hub colleagues, the University Business Intelligence unit, the data warehouse, and other constituents to gather, track, and analyze data associated with C2Hub connected scholarship programs
- Maintain internal program databases and create any additionally needed data management tools.
- Assist in end of year reporting and data sharing agreements with campus and community partners.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervision of Student Staff: 15%
- In collaboration with Assistant Director, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate student staff as necessary to support programming and initiatives associated with scholarships.
Student Career Support: 10%
- Support the C2Hub goal of 100% student career engagement by offering career counseling to scholarship recipients during individual meetings through career goal conversations, referrals to campus resources, resume support, etc.
- Provide support to overall C2Hub initiatives through participation in resume review for students, staffing Career Lab, supporting signature events, etc.
Professional Development and Other Duties as Assigned: 5%
- Remain current with regard to trends and developments in higher education and high-impact practices related to scholarship support through self-directed professional reading, the development of professional contacts with colleagues, attendance at professional development courses/conferences, and trainings as directed by the Supervisor.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Scholarship Support, including but not limited to service on various University committees/taskforces related to student retention and academic support

Required Qualifications: - To be successful in this position, you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree or two years of relevant experience.
- Experience advising, coaching, or supporting students or community members.
- Experience coordinating programs or events with internal or external partners.
- Experience identifying support needs and connecting students or community members with appropriate resources.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Experience working with scholarship programs.
- Experience supervising, training, or mentoring student employees or peer leaders.
- Experience tracking program data and assessing outcomes.
- Experience collaborating with donors or community organizations on scholarships or college access.
- Experience applying practices that support student retention, persistence, career readiness, or student well-being.
Work Hours
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Exempt
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Evenings and weekend work: As needed
Hybrid Position- This position is campus-based. Depending on the responsibilities of the role, operational needs, and office needs, there may be opportunities for flexibility or an alternative work arrangement. Such arrangements are subject to approval and may be adjusted based on evolving operational and business needs.

Salary for Announcement
Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
We anticipate the qualified candidate to be placed between $47,300-$56,000. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
