Independent Contractor Project

As a marketing team, we help drive awareness and greater appreciation for the work we do to support this mission across the U.S. and around the world. We are seeking an Independent Contractor to support us in Copywriter and Digital Marketing projects that focus primarily on producing exceptional written content for online channels and email campaigns. This Contractor will join the team at an especially important time of year with major campaigns already in motion. We are looking for a seasoned writer who is passionate about our mission and will ramp up quickly to provide value to the team and to the Our Rescue organization.

Project Objectives:

You will:

· Support storytelling campaigns and digital marketing by crafting clear, concise, and compelling copy that engages and inspires our audiences.

· Create engaging content for marketing and promotional materials including impactful emails that inspire donors to support our mission.

· Support email and SMS campaigns, utilize CRM systems, nurture donor relationships, and support e-commerce marketing efforts.

· Manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

· Collaborate and leverage resources across the organization as needed to help strengthen and deliver results.

· Write clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy that aligns with our core messaging framework and represents our brand accurately and authentically.

· Communicate proactively with managers and coordinate with teams to manage deliverables, approvals, and project timelines.

· Provide support for the above initiatives as well as other projects on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

· Passion for Our Rescue’s mission and willingness to learn and be curious about the organization which helps ensure exceptional quality across deliverables.

· Exceptionally strong written and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly.

· Experience with social media, content marketing, SEO, and AI are all a plus.

· Highly self-motivated, takes initiative, and has a proactive mindset that helps develop creative solutions.

· Extremely detail-oriented and results-driven.

· Precise on deadlines.

· Able to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as part of a team.

Skills & Competencies

· Creative writing skills with a focus on driving clear, concise, and compelling narratives for different audiences

· Competent storyteller with the ability to humanize content and connect with audiences across digital channels (website, blog, email, online store, etc.)

· Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

· Exceptional command of grammar, attention to detail, you are a results-driven, collaborative team player

· Familiarity with basic SEO and AI (Claude, ChatGPT) a plus
