Job Description

About AXA:

AXA is a global leader in insurance and financial services, dedicated to helping customers protect what matters most to them. As the sixth-largest insurance company in the world, we provide a wide range of services, including health, car, home, and business insurance. We support millions of customers worldwide, helping them navigate life's uncertainties with confidence.

AXA Health supports members to put their health first, from individuals to huge corporates, with fast access to diagnosis and treatment when they need it.

Job overview:

We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Account Coordinator to support our client retention, new client onboarding, and day-to-day service activities. Working closely with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders, you'll ensure that client requirements are delivered accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timescales. This role is vital in maintaining strong relationships, supporting onboarding processes, and providing a high standard of service to our clients across AXA Health.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support client retention activities by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring client needs are addressed promptly.
  • Coordinate the onboarding and implementation of new clients, tracking key milestones and maintaining accurate records throughout the process.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for day-to-day client queries, providing timely and professional responses across all communication channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Claims, Underwriting, Customer Service, and Marketing to ensure client requirements are met and processes are aligned.
  • Assist in managing client correspondence, including renewals, quotes, and service updates, ensuring all actions are completed within deadlines.
  • Maintain detailed records of client activity, communications, and implementation progress to support audit and compliance requirements.
  • Support client meetings, preparing agendas, materials, and follow-up actions to ensure effective engagement.
  • Identify and escalate potential issues or risks early, working with relevant teams to resolve and prevent service disruptions.

Work arrangements:

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) from December 2026. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your skills & experience:

  • Proven experience in client servicing, account coordination, or a similar support role.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients and internal teams.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, especially in maintaining records and managing deadlines.
  • Confident working independently, taking ownership of your portfolio while collaborating effectively with others.
  • Good understanding of client retention, service delivery, and process management.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences and manage complex client needs.
  • Proactive, customer-centric mentality with a focus on delivering high-quality service.

Eligibility:

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
