Corporate Affairs Specialist – Public Affairs & Government Relations
A strategic corporate affairs opportunity within a global technology and online delivery platform, focused on public affairs, government relations, regulatory developments and stakeholder engagement in the Austrian market.
About the Role
The Corporate Affairs Specialist will help strengthen the organisation’s position across the public, political and regulatory landscape in Austria.
Working closely with Legal, Operations, Marketing and international teams, the role combines political and regulatory analysis, strategic communications, stakeholder management and cross-functional project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of the corporate affairs strategy for the Austrian market.
- Monitor and analyse political, regulatory and public developments relevant to the business.
- Develop press materials, fact sheets, briefings, presentations, position papers and other corporate communications.
- Support the communication and representation of company positions to external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, government representatives, industry associations, NGOs and media.
- Coordinate cross-functional corporate affairs initiatives with local and global teams.
- Translate political and regulatory developments into actionable business insights.
- Support strategic projects designed to strengthen the organisation’s external positioning and stakeholder relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Political Science, Law, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, Government Relations, politics or an industry association.
- Strong understanding of the Austrian political, regulatory and media landscape.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
- Strong presentation, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Confident, reliable and able to work effectively across multiple teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong ability to analyse complex issues and communicate them clearly.
- Comfortable working in an international, fast-paced and evolving environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary starts at €58,000 gross per year, with the opportunity to develop within an international organisation.
