About the role

The Corporate Buyer supports procurement activities for corporate functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Environmental, Marketing, Commercial, Human Resources, Information Technology, and other business functions.

This role works with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, conduct competitive sourcing, negotiate supplier terms, and ensure purchases follow company policies and approval requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support purchasing and sourcing needs for corporate functional teams.
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements, scope, timing, and budget.
• Prepare and issue requests for quotation and competitive bids.
• Compare supplier proposals and recommend the best overall option.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, service levels, and other commercial terms.
• Create and maintain purchase orders, agreements, and supplier records.
• Support contract renewals and identify opportunities to improve pricing or terms.
• Coordinate supplier onboarding, insurance, compliance, and required documentation.
• Resolve supplier, purchase order, invoice, and service-related issues.
• Track savings, sourcing activity, and supplier performance.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and follow company policies and approval processes.
• Support procurement leaders on larger sourcing and supplier-management initiatives.
• Take on other procurement priorities and responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, data analytics, or a related field.
• Two or more years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or a related business role.
• Strong internship or co-op experience may be considered as part of the required experience.
• Demonstrated capability in data mining, data analysis, and data presentation.
• Ability to organize complex data and clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
• Experience conducting competitive bids, analyzing supplier proposals, or supporting negotiations.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with different corporate functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and procurement or ERP systems.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of the waste-to-energy, utilities, energy, or industrial services industries.
• Knowledge of the waste management or environmental services industry.
• Experience purchasing professional services, consulting, software, marketing services, environmental services, financial services, or other corporate requirements.
• Experience supporting multiple corporate functions in a complex organization.
• Experience with Jaggaer, SAP, Oracle, or a similar procurement system.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $79,300.00 - $105,600.00 USD per annum
