Responsibilities
Brightstar Lottery is seeking a highly skilled, enthusiastic communications strategist to join our team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications, based in Providence, RI. As a part of our Corporate Communications team, this position will support Brightstar’s worldwide public relations initiatives, which will include work for our Global Lottery and Sustainability teams. You will have the unique opportunity to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders in marketing, sales and operations, people & culture, government relations/public affairs, as well as Brightstar customers and senior executives from around the world to:
- Develop communications plans and execute campaigns for sustainability achievements and certifications, and annual sustainability activities such as Global Giving Month.
- Provide significant communications support for the annual Brightstar Sustainability Report.
- Draft news releases related to our Global Lottery business and Global Sustainability achievements.
- Develop strategic public relations and communications activities for Brightstar Global Lottery products and solutions, with a focus on iLottery and Instant Ticket Printing.
- Identify new, exciting ways to increase internal and public awareness of Brightstar’s global leadership in sustainability.
- Incorporate Brightstar’s Sustainable Play™ brand throughout a variety of internal and external communications including social media, websites, editorials and awards programs.
- Support content development for Brightstar’s corporate website and corporate communications’ intranet site.
- Develop and enhance processes for collecting, publishing and updating key facts and data about Brightstar that demonstrate the company’s industry leadership.

- Takes ownership of communications initiatives, demonstrating an ability to initiate ideas, sell them internally in a matrixed organization and drive them to measurable results.
- Has media relations experience and can identify and develop unique news hooks to maintain positive relationships with media.
- Has experience in using AI in innovative and/or efficient ways to achieve communications objectives.
- Exhibits good judgement and strategic thinking, as this role is highly visible internally and externally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required, with emphasis in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in public relations, marketing communications or corporate communications.
- Understanding of sustainability, ESGs and corporate communications fundamentals.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ability to solve problems and think independently and strategically.
- Experience contributing to projects and collaborating at all levels of an organization and across geographies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and team orientation.
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- A high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Available to be in-office at Brightstar’s Downtown Providence office a minimum of two to three days per week.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $59,795 - $122,400. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
