Corporate Communications Specialist

Role Description The Corporate Communications Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for shaping and delivering clear, consistent messaging about Innovative Pet Lab’s mission, products, and initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and distributing press releases, developing internal and external communications, and supporting strategic communication plans that align with brand positioning. The specialist will manage media relations, respond to inquiries, and coordinate announcements across digital and traditional channels. This role also involves collaborating with marketing, product, and leadership teams to ensure messaging accuracy, maintain a cohesive brand voice, and support company-wide communication needs.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational Communication skills, including clear writing, active listening, and audience-focused messaging.
• Experience with Internal & External Communications, including drafting company updates, stakeholder emails, and customer-facing content.
• Ability to plan and execute Strategic Communications initiatives that support brand awareness, reputation, and key business objectives.
• Proficiency in creating effective Press Releases and coordinating distribution across appropriate media channels.
• Media Relations skills, including building relationships with journalists, responding to media inquiries, and supporting interview or feature opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in en_US and strong attention to detail.
• Experience working remotely and managing multiple projects in a part-time capacity with minimal supervision.
• Background in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field; experience in pet health, science, or healthcare industries is a plus.
