Cost Control Manage

Role Description The Cost Control Manager (part-time, remote) is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing project and operational costs across transportation activities. Day-to-day tasks include preparing cost reports, tracking budgets, reviewing expenses, and identifying variances between planned and actual costs. The role involves collaborating with operations, finance, and site teams to implement cost-saving measures, maintain cost databases, and ensure adherence to company financial guidelines. The Cost Control Manager will also support forecasting, assist with contract and vendor cost evaluations, and recommend improvements to cost control processes. This remote role requires regular virtual communication with stakeholders and timely delivery of accurate cost analysis and documentation.

Qualifications

• Supervisory skills and Site Supervision experience to oversee cost-related activities and coordinate with field teams.
• Strong Communication skills to collaborate effectively with operations, finance, and management.
• Inspection and Construction Safety awareness to understand cost implications of compliance, safety standards, and site practices.
• Experience in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis within transportation, logistics, or construction-related environments.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and cost management tools; ability to interpret financial data and produce clear reports.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
• Relevant academic background in finance, accounting, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with regional regulations and industry standards in transportation and safety is an advantage.
