Role Summary

The Relativity Infrastructure Specialist is the primary technical resource responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of the Relativity platform managing installations, server upgrades, hotfixes, patching, and advanced troubleshooting across Relativity infrastructure. The role works closely with SQL DBA, DevOps, and cross-functional technical teams to ensure system stability, performance, and operational excellence.

Relativity Infrastructure & Technical Support

  • Serve as the primary resource for Relativity administration and configuration, including server installs, upgrades, hotfixes, and patching.
  • Manage and support all Relativity server roles, including SQL, Web, Agent, Analytics, RabbitMQ, and related components.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of Relativity backend issues, including server performance, audit history, application performance, and database-related concerns.
  • Work closely with SQL DBA and DevOps teams to recommend and implement performance enhancements for Relativity databases and custom applications.
  • Support multiple geographic environments and multiple software products and/or clients.
  • Perform software infrastructure initiatives as defined by business needs.
  • Participate in night, weekend, or after-hours work as required for system upgrades, initiatives, or issue escalation.

Documentation & Process Support

  • Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow documented procedures, workflows, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1 year hands-on experience managing Relativity environments (server roles, installs, upgrades, scaling, patching).
  • Extensive experience managing and troubleshooting Relativity infrastructure and SQL performance.
  • Strong working knowledge of front-end and back-end Relativity functionality.
  • Strong SQL query knowledge (required).
  • Scripting or programming knowledge strongly encouraged.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to multitask across complex issues and solutions.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and see projects through to completion.
  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA); Relativity Infrastructure Specialist certification; Relativity Certified Expert/Master (nice to have).
  • 3+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience.
  • Familiarity with APIs and programming languages.
  • Experience with Brainspace and Milyli products (Delegate, Blackout, etc.).
  • Familiarity with load files (Concordance, delimited, OPT).
