About The Role
This is a critical, high-autonomy role where we need a CPA-level
professional who can step in immediately to own the treasury, reporting, and
compliance functions. You will take full ownership of this role, transitioning our books to
clean, GAAP-compliant standards to ensure we are audit-ready for future capital raises
or company exits.
Key Responsibilities
This role owns the full financial lifecycle, including multi-entity accounting, treasury
management, GAAP compliance, and partner distributions, while ensuring the business
is prepared for potential future acquisition.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Maintain and improve QuickBooks Online setup.
- Oversee both cash and accrual accounting functions.
- Reconcile financials from multiple payment gateways.
- Prepare and maintain clean GAAP-compliant financials.
Multi-Entity & Treasury Oversight
- Manage complex accounting across one central entity and seven pass-through
legal entities.
- Handle inter-entity transfers and state-by-state compliance.
- Lead the monthly/quarterly distribution calculation for partners based on
drawdowns against profits.
- Manage and improve partner capital accounts, shifting current expensing
methods into proper balance sheet treatments.
Audit & Compliance Management
- Prepare the business for potential future acquisition or capital raises
($10M-$60M deals) by maintaining audit-ready records.
- Interface with external CPAs, legal advisors, and partners as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Certification: CPA certification is a non-negotiable requirement.
- Proven experience in US-based accrual and cash accounting and multi-entity
structures.
- Expert-level QuickBooks Online/Enterprise (classes, categories, reporting).
- Ability to operate independently from day one with an ownership mentality; no
handholding required.
- Exceptional written and verbal English skills; ability to provide concise, high-value
financial summaries.
- Precision in documentation and GAAP compliance is non-negotiable.
Preferred
- Systems: Familiarity with PEO platforms like JustWorks for payroll management.
