INNOVIM is seeking support for NOAA’s Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR) Climate Program Office (CPO) National Integrated Heat Health Information System (NIHHIS) office. Location: Based out of Silver Spring, MD Remote/Telework: Remote (Hybrid and in-person as required) The candidate will: Provide web and data science services for Heat.gov, including, but not limited to, user engagement sessions, development of tools or services, maintenance, and design. Prepare and distribute communications, such as NIHHIS newsletters and social media. Prepare and maintain other communication and engagement materials, such as briefing sheets, presentations, and posters. Plan, coordinate, and execute heat-related workshops, tabletop exercises, meetings, webinars, and other engagement and outreach activities, including pre-meeting logistics, scheduling, preparation, agenda development, and post-meeting summaries and action tracking. Sustain and grow engagement with stakeholders and awardees through email, webinars, and other mechanisms. Organize peer review panels, report on outcomes, and participate in planning new strategic initiatives. Execute the NIHHIS Urban Heat Island Mapping Campaigns, including engagements to solicit and evaluate community-based applications for heat mapping, develop observational technologies, and manage distribution, collection, and quality control of observations, and development of datasets, maps, reports, and other materials for communities. Design and coordinate challenge competitions related to heat preparedness. Provide authoritative, informed climate and health expertise and research execution for NIHHIS projects. Coordinate the communication and execution of OAR, cross line office, and external partner strategic planning projects and initiatives related to heat. Facilitate coordination and collaboration among NOAA’s One Health experts and capabilities by planning meetings, workshops, webinars, and other engagements. Enhance external One Health community engagement with NOAA experts and capabilities by routinely maintaining and updating NOAA’s One Health Website, fact sheets, presentations, and other such materials for internal and external audiences. Enhance coordination and collaboration with NOAA One Health and other federal agencies with One Health programs (CDC, USDA, NPS, etc.), including coordinating the development of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with partners.
