About the Role

At Museum of Ice Cream, we exist to spark joy, create connection and turn everyday moments into unforgettable experiences while serving as the global champion of ice cream culture. From the brands and makers shaping the category to the communities that gather around it, Museum of Ice Cream sits at the center of a cultural movement built on nostalgia, creativity and shared joy.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a mid-level Creative Copywriter to help bring our brand voice to life across guest and marketing touchpoints.

This role will apply Museum of Ice Cream’s established voice across a wide range of work. The writing should be playful but not childish, culturally relevant without chasing trends and emotionally engaging while still driving action. You will translate consumer insights, strategies and briefs into clear, distinctive copy that works across campaigns, channels and physical experiences.

The Team

The Museum of Ice Cream Marketing team is a nimble, high-impact group of strategists, creatives, designers, growth marketers and brand builders focused on driving cultural relevance and revenue growth. We partner closely across Operations, Brand Partnerships and our museums to build campaigns that drive both brand desire and ticket sales.

This role sits within the Creative team and works cross-functionally with Growth, Lifecycle, Social, Brand Partnerships, Production, Experience Design and museum teams.

The Role

  • As a Contract Creative Copywriter, you will be a hands-on writer and conceptual creative partner supporting the full Museum of Ice Cream marketing ecosystem.
  • Partnering closely with the Creative Director, designers and channel leads, you will turn clear briefs and audience insights into high-quality creative work, from campaign concepts and landing pages to performance ads, lifecycle marketing, social storytelling and onsite messaging.
  • You will help ensure that every piece of communication feels unmistakably Museum of Ice Cream: emotionally engaging, culturally aware, conversion-minded and creatively distinctive.
  • You will apply the established brand voice consistently, collaborate closely with creative and marketing partners and revise work quickly based on feedback, channel needs and performance learnings.
  • This contract role is ideal for a versatile mid-level writer who thrives in fast-moving environments, can move between conceptual and executional work and wants meaningful ownership of assigned projects for a growing consumer brand.

What You'll Do

Concept Development

  • Apply Museum of Ice Cream’s established brand voice consistently across marketing channels and guest touchpoints
  • Concept and write integrated campaigns from a clear brief through execution
  • Partner with designers and creative leads to develop cohesive, insight-driven work
  • Translate audience insights, marketing strategies and channel needs into useful creative ideas and copy

Copy Development

Write high-impact copy across:

  • Regional and local marketing, including OOH
  • Paid and performance media, including campaign platforms, headlines and iterative copy
  • Website and landing pages
  • Email, newsletters and lifecycle marketing
  • Organic social campaigns in partnership with the Social team
  • Brand partnerships, activations, retail and event marketing
  • Onsite and in-experience copy, including signage, environmental messaging and guest touchpoints
  • Support occasional internal and employee communications as assigned
  • Local activation and partnership messaging

Brand Voice Application

  • Apply the established tone of voice consistently across assigned work
  • Edit, proofread and quality-check copy for clarity, accuracy and brand consistency
  • Develop messaging hierarchies and campaign narratives with guidance from the Creative Director and Marketing leads
  • Contribute practical examples and learnings to brand voice documentation

XFN Collaboration

  • Partner with Growth and Lifecycle teams to develop and improve conversion-focused copy using performance learnings
  • Collaborate with Social and Brand Partnerships teams on storytelling opportunities
  • Manage assigned briefs, deadlines and revision cycles while communicating clearly about progress and tradeoffs
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment and respond constructively to feedback

Contract Details

  • This is a temporary contractor role
  • The hourly pay is between $70/hr-$80/hr
  • Commitment: 40 hours per week
  • Duration: 4 month contract
  • Location: Remote

What You bring

  • 4–6 years of experience as a copywriter within an advertising, design or creative agency or a consumer-facing brand
  • A portfolio demonstrating conceptual campaigns and polished hands-on writing across multiple channels, with a clear explanation of your personal contribution
  • The ability to translate consumer insights, strategies and briefs into strong creative ideas and clear, compelling copy
  • Range across campaign headlines, digital and performance copy, lifecycle communications and detailed onsite or informational messaging
  • Strong understanding of brand voice, audience, channel behavior and conversion, with the judgment to adjust tone without losing consistency
  • Experience partnering with designers, creative leads and marketers and using feedback to strengthen the work
  • Excellent organization, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to manage multiple briefs and deliver reliably in a fast-moving environment
