Creative Lead (Remote, Contract)
We're seeking an experienced Creative Lead to provide creative leadership and brand stewardship in support of a university's historic milestone anniversary campaign. This role will partner closely with Marketing & Communications leadership to ensure all creative work aligns with brand standards while delivering compelling, strategic storytelling across channels.
What You'll Do
- Lead creative direction for anniversary-related campaigns and initiatives.
- Ensure consistency across brand, messaging, and visual identity.
- Review and provide feedback on creative concepts and deliverables.
- Develop creative briefs and strategic creative direction.
- Mentor designers and creative team members.
- Partner with marketing, communications, and key stakeholders to drive campaign success.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in creative leadership roles such as Creative Lead, Senior Art Director, Associate Creative Director, Creative Director, or similar.
- Proven experience leading integrated brand campaigns for large organizations, higher education institutions, nonprofits, or enterprise brands.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative leadership and brand-focused work.
- Experience directing multidisciplinary creative teams and developing creative briefs.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with ClickUp, Asana, Workfront, or similar project management tools.
Preferred
- Higher education or mission-driven organization experience.
- Experience supporting milestone, anniversary, or reputation-building campaigns.
Work Arrangement
- Fully remote.
- Must be available during Central Time Zone business hours.
