Overview: The Writer will create impactful and informative content for the documentary, ensuring alignment with its vision and objectives. This role focuses on researching, scripting, and crafting narratives that address issues of female genital mutilation, child marriages, and teen pregnancies in Kenya with sensitivity and accuracy. Key Responsibilities: 1. Conduct in-depth research on female genital mutilation, child marriages, and teen pregnancies in Kenya. 2. Develop scripts, narratives, and supplementary written materials for the documentary. 3. Collaborate with the production team to align content with the documentary’s goals. 4. Conduct interviews with subjects and experts for accurate, firsthand information. 5. Edit and refine written content for clarity, coherence, and accuracy. 6. Ensure all content respects and sensitively represents the subjects and communities involved. 7. Maintain consistency in tone and style across all written materials. 8. Fact-check information to ensure accuracy and credibility. 9. Provide creative input to enhance storytelling and documentary flow. 10. Meet deadlines for the delivery of written materials. 11. Ensure all content complies with legal and ethical standards in collaboration with the legal team. 12. Assist in creating promotional content for marketing and distribution purposes. 13.
