We're looking for a creative writer with HARO, Digital PR, or outreach experience to own our media outreach efforts.
This isn't a copy-paste role. You're the voice behind every pitch, turning journalist requests into compelling stories that earn media coverage and high-authority links.
Your Mission
Monitor media request platforms, spot the requests that genuinely fit our clients' niches, and craft personalized pitches that actually get picked up. You'll turn a client's expertise into story angles journalists want to run — no generic templates, no spray-and-pray.
What you'll do:
Research and identify outreach opportunities across HARO, Qwoted, Featured, SOS, journalists, publishers, and relevant websites.
Write personalized, persuasive pitches tailored to each request and outlet
Develop compelling story angles from a client's niche and expertise
Manage multiple outreach opportunities and deadlines without dropping the ball
Log every pitch, response, placement, and follow-up
Use outreach tools (Pitchbox, BuzzStream, Apollo, Hunter, etc.) to support wider link building where needed
KPIs: Pitch-to-response rate · Placement rate · Link / coverage quality · Turnaround on time-sensitive requests
Who You Are
You write in excellent, error-free English with real attention to detail
You have experience in
creative writing, persuasive writing, Digital PR, HARO, journalist outreach, or communications.
You read a journalist's request and craft a tailored response fast — never a template
You naturally think in stories and can turn even technical topics into something journalists want to cover.
You're organized enough to juggle multiple deadlines without losing context
You're self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently
Link building or SEO experience is a strong advantage
Experience with Qwoted, SOS, Featured, or similar media request platforms is a plus
Experience with Pitchbox, BuzzStream, Apollo, Hunter, etc. is a plus
The ideal candidate has a background in creative writing, journalism, communications, PR, content marketing, or Digital PR. Experience with SEO or link building is a plus.
Not for you if you lean on generic templates, treat every request the same, struggle to hold up polished, persuasive English under deadline, or if you prefer repetitive outreach over researching and crafting original angles.
