Credit Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Credit Specialist with experience in consumer financing, loan processing, and/or underwriting.

This person will be responsible for reviewing loan applications and documentation, ensuring all information is accurate and complete, and verifying that applicants meet established lending and compliance guidelines. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, analytical, comfortable managing multiple applications simultaneously, and able to communicate effectively with customers and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Review loan applications and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Verify consumer information and ensure compliance with lending requirements, including Identity Verification, KYC, OFAC, MLA, Regulation B, and TILA.
• Contact consumers when additional information or documentation is required.
• Verify and validate supporting documents, including income verification.
• Manage the credit review process for loan pre-approvals and support the daily loan pipeline.
• Review credit information and financial data to support lending decisions.
• Assist consumers through phone and email when necessary.
• Communicate with external parties and merchants as required.
• Support the creation and improvement of workflows, processes, and departmental best practices.
• Stay updated on regulatory policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in consumer financing, including loan processing and/or underwriting. (BPO Industry)
• Strong understanding of: Loan processing, Underwriting, Credit bureau reports, Credit risk, Lending compliance.
• Ability to analyze consumer credit data and related financial information.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple loan approvals simultaneously.
• Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with different stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

💰 Compensation & Conditions

Salary: COP $3,678,500 + commissions

Work Model: 100% remote

Contract: Indefinite-term employment contract

🕐 Schedule

This position requires full availability under a flexible daily schedule, working five (5) days per week under a rotating weekly schedule.

Working days and hours may vary depending on the assigned week and season.

The rotating days-off structure is:

• Weeks 1 and 3: Friday is the mandatory day off.
• Weeks 2 and 4: Saturday is the mandatory day off.

Candidates must therefore have availability to work weekends according to the established monthly schedule.

Working hours:

• Monday: 1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• Tuesday: 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• Wednesday: 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday: 1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., depending on the weekly schedule.

The assigned working day among Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday may vary based on the weekly schedule.
