Job Title: Critical Facilities Assessor About Echo Power Echo Power is an independent engineering and project management firm specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of critical electrical and mechanical systems across the healthcare, utility, and industrial sectors. Work Environment This is a hybrid role with a mix of remote work (from home) and field involvement. Candidates should reside within one hour of a commercial airport to support travel requirements (averaging 50% travel). This position is open to applicants residing in: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia. *Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and reside in an eligible state or territory at the time of hire and throughout employment. What You’ll Get to Do As a Critical Facilities Assessor, you will evaluate the condition, capacity, reliability, and operational readiness of electrical infrastructure within critical facilities. You’ll conduct on-site assessments, identify risks and deficiencies, and develop clear recommendations, scopes, budgets, and priorities to support capital planning and customer decision-making. Key Responsibilities Conduct on-site assessments of electrical distribution, backup power, grounding, controls, lighting, and related infrastructure. Review drawings, one-lines, equipment schedules, maintenance records, testing reports, and other facility documentation. Identify electrical reliability, capacity, safety, compliance, maintainability, and single-point-of-failure risks. Prepare assessment reports, technical narratives, recommendations, preliminary scopes, and ROM budgets. Collaborate with engineering, construction, estimating, commissioning, and multidisciplinary SMEs to develop comprehensive facility assessments. Communicate findings and recommendations to customers, facility leaders, project teams, and other stakeholders. Support site walks, discovery meetings, proposal development, and assessment reviews. Gather field data, equipment information, photos, and documentation to support accurate assessments and estimates. Promote consistent assessment practices, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence across the organization. What You’ll Bring 5+ years of experience in estimating, facility assessments, preconstruction, electrical infrastructure, or construction environments. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, preferably within healthcare or other high-reliability facilities. Experience with estimating software, Excel, Microsoft Office, and project management or assessment tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities and fast-turnaround assessment needs. Knowledge of healthcare codes, standards, compliance requirements, and facility operations preferred. Design and construction experience; design-build experience preferred. Professional certifications such as ASPE, AACE, LEED, PMP, or related credentials are a plus. Ability to travel 50% of the time (nationwide, within the continental US).
