Alpine Business Consulting is a specialized team dedicated to fixing enterprise performance management and reporting systems that have lost their way. Often, a company invests in complex planning tools only to find that the implementation cut corners, leaving finance teams to deal with numbers that do not match and month-end closes that take far too long. We step in to configure these systems properly or build new ones from the start. Our consultants have spent years working with Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and modern analytics stacks. They bring real-world experience to every project rather than using a client engagement as a training ground for junior staff.
We are currently supporting a major logistics provider in their effort to modernize their data infrastructure. This project involves cleaning up large volumes of record data to ensure their internal reporting remains a single source of truth. Because we prioritize documentation and clean configuration, we need someone to help maintain the integrity of the data within their CRM and related reporting tools. This is a permanent, full-time position that is performed fully remote, allowing you to work from your own environment while collaborating with our senior team.
The role
As a CRM Data Assistant, your primary focus is the accuracy and consistency of the information our clients rely on for their daily operations. You will support our senior consultants by handling the manual and technical tasks required to keep a CRM system running reliably. This is not just about typing in names: it is about understanding how data flows from one system to another and ensuring nothing gets lost in translation. This position is paid, and we offer a salary that is competitive for an entry level role in the consulting sector.
Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Reviewing and auditing CRM entries to identify duplicates, outdated information, or missing fields.
- Updating records for our logistics partner to ensure their fleet and client data is current and correctly categorized.
- Assisting with the configuration of basic CRM workflows and fields under the guidance of senior staff.
- Performing regular data hygiene tasks to prevent the accumulation of "dirty data" that slows down reporting.
- Creating and maintaining simple documentation that explains how specific data sets are organized.
- Helping to prepare data exports for use in larger financial reporting tools like Oracle or SAP.
- Verifying that new data imports follow the established naming conventions and formatting rules.
- Communicating with the consulting team when you notice recurring errors or inconsistencies in the system.
What we need from you
This is an entry level role, so we do not expect you to be a veteran of the consulting world. We are looking for someone who is organized, observant, and comfortable working with digital tools. If you have a background in business, data, or general administration, you likely have the foundations we need.
- Basic familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics (academic or project experience is fine).
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, including basic functions, sorting, and filtering.
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to spot errors in long lists of information.
- Clear communication skills, especially when explaining technical issues in writing.
- A willingness to follow established processes and documentation standards strictly.
- The ability to work independently in a remote setting while staying on task.
- A curious mindset and a desire to understand how enterprise systems are built and maintained.
- Basic knowledge of what a database is and how information is typically structured.
Working at Alpine Business Consulting
We believe in transparency and predictability. We provide fixed-price quotes wherever possible and prioritize documentation that a client team can actually use. Our goal is to hand over a system that works reliably and then step back, ensuring the company has the training and configuration guides needed to remain independent. Whether it is a stalled cloud migration or a dashboard that nobody opens, we focus on providing a single source of truth that finance teams can trust every morning.
Working here means you will be part of a team that values quiet competence over corporate jargon. Since we are a fully remote company, we rely on clear documentation and asynchronous communication to get things done. You will learn how high-level consulting projects are managed and see firsthand how we solve complex data problems for large organizations. We do not expect you to know everything on your first day, but we do expect you to be ready to learn our specific methods for data management and system configuration. We provide the tools and the senior mentorship needed to help you build a solid foundation in the data analytics and consulting field.
