Cross-Border Contentious Bankruptcy Litigation Lawyer, U.S. Qualified

We are looking for an experienced lawyer interested in contentious, crossborder bankruptcy and restructuring matters and in developing their civil litigation experience to join São Paulo team.

You will join our highly regarded global team to work on high-stakes, multinational bankruptcy and restructuring matters representing debtors, creditors, committees, and other stakeholders in insolvency-related disputes and investigations. There should be an interest in cross-border work and using bankruptcy and restructuring tools to craft unique strategies for the firm’s international asset recovery and judgment enforcement engagements. The position would not be limited to insolvency-related work but would include creditor-debtor disputes both inside and outside of insolvency proceedings, as well as in civil litigation.

• Graduated law school between 2022 - 2016

• U.S. qualified, Juris Doctor (JD) preferred but we will consider LLMs with solid experience on US matters

• Strong litigation and bankruptcy experience, or restructuring experience with a desire to crossover to a disputes-focused practice

• Cross-border litigation / disputes experience (e.g., using U.S. Chapter 15 proceedings in aid of asset recovery) is a significant advantage

• Robust writing, drafting and editing skills, and a willingness and ability to draft strong work product for U.S. bankruptcy and litigation proceedings.

• Fluent English and business level Portuguese as preferred and business level Spanish as a plus
