Your day at NTT DATA
We are seeking an experienced Cross Technology Managed Services Engineer (L3) with strong expertise in enterprise networking technologies. The successful candidate will possess deep technical knowledge across Cisco networking, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), and Aruba networking solutions, with the ability to support and optimise complex customer environments within a managed services setting.

The engineer will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for resolving complex incidents, driving operational excellence, supporting network transformation initiatives, and mentoring junior engineers. This role requires an individual who combines broad networking expertise with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Network Operations

• Administer, maintain, and optimise enterprise Cisco network environments.
• Manage complex routing and switching infrastructures across LAN, WAN, and Data Centre environments.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical network outages and performance issues.
• Perform proactive health assessments and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure network availability, performance, and security standards are consistently maintained.

Cisco SD-WAN Administration

• Support and manage Cisco SD-WAN environments across customer estates.
• Troubleshoot overlay and underlay network connectivity issues.
• Implement and maintain SD-WAN policies, segmentation, and routing strategies.
• Support deployments, upgrades, migrations, and operational transitions.
• Optimise application and network performance across distributed environments.

Cisco ISE & Network Security

• Administer Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) platforms.
• Support 802.1X authentication and network access control solutions.
• Troubleshoot authentication, authorisation, and policy-related incidents.
• Maintain role-based access controls and security policies.
• Assist with network segmentation and Zero Trust access initiatives.

Aruba Network Technologies

• Support Aruba switching, wireless, and network management platforms.
• Manage Aruba Central and cloud-managed networking solutions where applicable.
• Troubleshoot wireless connectivity and performance issues.
• Support campus network infrastructure and access-layer technologies.
• Assist in network modernisation and wireless optimisation projects.

Service Delivery & Leadership

• Act as an L3 escalation point for complex networking incidents.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem management activities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Mentor L1 and L2 engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Identify opportunities for automation and operational excellence.

Customer Engagement

• Participate in technical reviews, service improvement plans, and customer governance meetings.
• Provide technical guidance to project and transition teams.
• Support network transformation and infrastructure lifecycle projects.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in enterprise networking or managed services environments.
• Strong operational experience with Cisco networking technologies.
• Proven hands-on experience supporting Cisco SD-WAN solutions.
• Strong experience administering Cisco ISE environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Aruba networking platforms.
• Experience leading complex troubleshooting and major incident resolution activities.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving service improvement
• initiatives.
