CUS BOOKING EXECUTIVE

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Check shipping schedules and advise on available cargo space.
• Contact shipping lines, airlines, agents, and co-loaders to obtain shipping and flight schedules and secure bookings for import and export shipments.
• Monitor and manage bookings with shipping lines.
• Issue booking confirmations to relevant departments.
• Handle issues arising from shipping line bookings.
• Work with the Pricing Team to resolve issues related to freight rates and space availability.
• Check rates with overseas agents for additional services required at destination.
• Track shipment schedules from the port of origin to the destination port.
• Prepare payment requests.
• Report on work progress and perform other tasks assigned by the Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 2 years of experience in booking, rate checking, procurement, or a related role in the logistics industry.
• Experience handling bookings with shipping lines and checking rates with overseas agents.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Canva.
• Good negotiation and persuasion skills.
• An interest in customer service.
• Careful, hardworking, honest, proactive, and eager to learn, with the ability to work under pressure and a commitment to long-term employment with the company.
