About TruTrip
TruTrip is a B2B corporate travel platform built for companies that need real control over travel spend, approvals, and reporting. We work with organizations that have multiple entities, complex approval structures, and strong governance requirements.
Our customers are not buying travel software just to browse flights. They are trying to transform how their organization books, approves, pays for, and reports on travel. That change is often slow, political, and involves multiple stakeholders across finance, operations, travel managers, and executive leadership.
About the Role
Closing a deal at TruTrip does not mean the customer is active. The most critical phase of the customer journey starts immediately after contract execution.
This role sits at the intersection of consultative strategy, product architecture, and commercial change management. As our Customer Activation & Onboarding Lead, you will act as a peer and strategic advisor to client leadership, guiding them through corporate travel policy design, approval workflows, and system migration.
You will not simply take requirements or check off onboarding tasks. You will leverage deep product knowledge and UX capability to challenge client assumptions, guide best practices, navigate internal corporate politics, and drive rapid time-to-value. Once an account reaches stable adoption and meaningful booking volume, you will seamlessly transition ongoing account management to our Customer Success team.
What You Will Own
1. Strategic Onboarding & Change Navigation
- Peer-Level Consultation: Sit eye-to-eye with finance leaders and corporate travel stakeholders to design realistic, highly effective travel policies and approval workflows.
- Constructive Pushback: Challenge customers' legacy habits and recommend superior, product-led solutions that align with their business goals.
- Political Navigation: Navigate internal stakeholder politics, resolve friction between leadership expectations and operational reality, and keep momentum moving forward.
2. Product-Led Activation & UX Consultation
- Deep Feature & Purpose Knowledge: Understand the underlying objective and design intent of every TruTrip feature (e.g., policy rules, approval logic, reporting filters) to solve complex customer problems creatively.
- Value Translation: Show customers how specific platform capabilities translate into tangible cost savings, compliance, and governance.
- Product & UX Feedback Loop: Serve as a critical feedback mechanism for the Product and Design teams, bringing back real-world operational friction points to influence the platform roadmap.
3. Data-Driven Value & Commercial Outcomes
- Early Value Demonstration: Utilize analytics and custom data storytelling to prove early ROI, policy compliance, and cost savings to customer executives.
- Activation Accountability: Own early revenue realization by shortening time-to-first-booking and accelerating time-to-meaningful booking volume.
- Structured Hand-off: Lead a clean, formal transition of stabilized, fully onboarded accounts for long-term CS/AM management.
What Success Looks Like
- Time-to-Value (TTV): Accelerates timeline from contract signature to first active booking cluster.
- Feature Adoption: Clients adopt high-value features (custom approval workflows, automated policy controls) early in onboarding.
- Executive Alignment: Client leadership trusts TruTrip's strategic recommendations and sees clear data proof of value.
- Seamless Handoff: Accounts reach target booking thresholds smoothly before transitioning to ongoing Customer Success.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 3–5+ years in B2B SaaS onboarding, activation, implementation consulting, or product-led customer success.
- Consultative Presence: High emotional intelligence and gravity to lead strategic discussions with CFOs, Travel Managers, and Operations Directors.
- Deep Product & UX Aptitude: Strong technical curiosity and ability to understand product mechanics, workflows, and "the why behind features."
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze travel behavior, spend patterns, and policy compliance data to craft compelling narratives for executive stakeholders.
- Change Leadership: Comfort pushing back on legacy behaviors and guiding complex organizations through change.
What This Role Is Not
- Not reactive customer support (handled by dedicated support agents).
- Not traditional long-term Customer Success
- Not administrative task tracking (this is strategic change leadership and product activation).
