Line of Business: Direct Marketing Campaign

The Direct Marketing Campaign team is responsible for the development, execution, and delivery of customer marketing campaigns across multiple channels. The team partners with marketing stakeholders to identify target audiences, execute customer campaigns, and deliver data-driven marketing initiatives that support business growth and client engagement.

Reason the role is open?

New headcount to support campaign delivery demand and ongoing growth within the Direct Marketing Campaign team. Current leadership and development resources are operating with limited capacity and require additional support

What project will this contractor be working on?

The contractor will support the end-to-end development and execution of marketing campaigns, including campaign design, audience segmentation, SQL development, data extraction, campaign deployment, testing, and collaboration with business partners. They will participate in discovery sessions, gather business requirements, and translate marketing needs into technical campaign solutions.

Target Start Date: Oct 5th

Duration: 12 months +extension

Compensation: T4: $30-40/HR | IC: $45-55/HR

Remote/Hybrid: Thursday and Fourth Friday

Work Schedule (hours per week, start time): 37.5 Hours/week, 9-5 Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead discovery sessions and gather campaign requirements from business stakeholders.

• Develop and execute marketing campaigns using enterprise campaign management platforms.

• Build audience segments and campaign logic using SQL and relational databases.

• Create and optimize complex queries involving advanced joins, large datasets, and query performance tuning.

• Perform campaign testing and self-QA prior to deployment.

• Collaborate with peer developers and QA teams throughout the campaign lifecycle.

• Troubleshoot campaign execution and data-related issues.

• Support ongoing campaign enhancements and process improvements.

• Work independently within a fast-paced enterprise environment while managing multiple priorities.

Must Have Requirement:

3+ years of campaign development experience

Experience developing campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Unica, SAS, or a similar enterprise campaign management platform Mid to senior-level SQL and relational database expertise Experience creating complex SQL queries, advanced joins, audience segmentation, and query optimization Experience extracting and manipulating large customer datasets Experience conducting discovery sessions and gathering business requirements Strong understanding of campaign lifecycle management and deployment processes Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

Banking or financial services experience Experience supporting enterprise-scale marketing campaigns Previous experience with large organizations such as banks, telecommunications companies, or other highly structured enterprises Prior CIBC experience Data analytics or reporting background Exposure to multiple campaign management platforms
