Role Description The Customer Service Specialist is a full-time, remote role responsible for supporting customers throughout their ordering and delivery experience. Day-to-day tasks include responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, or social media, resolving order and delivery issues, and ensuring clear communication about products, order status, and policies. The role involves documenting interactions in support systems, coordinating with operations and partner butcher shops when needed, and following up to ensure customer satisfaction. The specialist also helps identify recurring issues, shares feedback to improve processes, and contributes to creating a positive, reliable customer experience that aligns with LocalButcher’s brand and values.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Support and Customer Service experience.
• Ability to enhance Customer Satisfaction and Customer Experience through empathetic communication and problem-solving.
• Professional Phone Etiquette and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort using online tools, support ticketing systems, and mobile apps.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work effectively in a remote, full-time environment.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple inquiries simultaneously.
• Prior experience in e-commerce, food delivery, or consumer-facing startups is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in communication, business, or related fields is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer queries via phone, WhatsApp, chat, and email.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist customers with order placement, modifications, cancellations, and refunds.
• Coordinate with vendors and delivery partners to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
• Escalate complex issues to the relevant teams and follow up until resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and feedback.
• Identify recurring customer issues and share insights for process improvements.
• Deliver a positive customer experience with every interaction.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in Customer Support, Customer Success, or a similar role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Telugu (Hindi is a plus).
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional while handling customer concerns.
• Comfortable using computers, Google Workspace, and customer support tools.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
• A customer-first attitude with a strong sense of ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in e-commerce, food delivery, quick commerce, or retail customer support.
• Familiarity with CRM or ticketing systems.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Basic understanding of order management and delivery operations.
