BRUCE BOLT is hiring multiple Customer Success Specialist's to join our growing Customer Service team. This remote contract opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about sports, enjoy helping people, and want to grow with an established, family-owned performance gear company.
Position Overview

- Daily Schedule: Seven scheduled hours per workday
- Coverage Window: Shifts are scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Central Time
- Additional Opportunities: commissions and eligibility for annual profit sharing, subject to applicable program terms. Quarterly Allowances and Employee Discounts

About the Role
The Customer Success Specialist supports athletes, parents, coaches, and customers throughout their experience with BRUCE BOLT.
In this role, you will respond to customer inquiries through email, live chat, phone, and other digital channels. You will provide timely, knowledgeable, and empathetic assistance with orders, product information, sizing, shipping, promotions, returns, exchanges, and warranty questions.
This position involves more than answering questions. You will build customer relationships, resolve concerns, follow open cases through completion, recommend products, and help ensure that every interaction reflects the BRUCE BOLT standard.
The ideal candidate understands sporting goods, works comfortably with technology and AI, and can manage multiple conversations and priorities in a fast-paced remote environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist customers through email, live chat, phone, and other digital support channels.
- Answer questions about products, sizing, availability, orders, shipping, promotions, returns, exchanges, and warranties.
- Provide informed product recommendations based on each customer’s needs.
- Resolve customer concerns with patience, empathy, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused approach.
- Track open cases and follow through until each issue is fully resolved.
- Create positive, professional, and memorable customer interactions.
- Identify appropriate opportunities to recommend additional products and solutions.
- Maintain accurate customer records, case notes, and follow-up information.
- Manage multiple conversations, systems, and priorities simultaneously.
- Use customer service platforms, reporting dashboards, technology, and AI tools responsibly.
- Maintain accuracy and a genuine human connection when using AI-assisted tools.
- Recognize patterns in customer questions, concerns, and product feedback.
- Communicate emerging trends and recurring issues to leadership and internal teams.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex customer situations and improve internal processes.
- Support product launches, promotional periods, and other high-volume events.
- Contribute ideas that improve customer satisfaction, efficiency, and the overall post-purchase experience.
- Represent BRUCE BOLT’s values, culture, and commitment to legendary customer service in every interaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, customer support, e-commerce, retail, sales, or another customer-facing role is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of sporting goods is preferred, particularly within baseball, softball, or performance athletics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent active-listening and relationship-building abilities.
- A customer-first mindset with a focus on satisfaction, retention, and long-term loyalty.
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically across multiple support channels.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to prioritize requests and consistently meet response-time expectations.
- Comfort learning and working across multiple technology platforms.
- Experience using CRM, help-desk, e-commerce, or customer support software is beneficial.
- Familiarity with AI tools and an understanding of how to use them effectively and responsibly.
- Analytical ability to recognize customer trends and recommend data-informed improvements.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and take ownership of customer concerns.
- Dependable, self-motivated, adaptable, and receptive to coaching and feedback.
- Reliable internet access and an appropriate remote workspace.
- Availability to work a scheduled seven-hour shift within the 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Central Time coverage window.
